I never noticed that with fairy dust- I’m going to look at my paintings now. Thank you so much for sharing and explaining. I want all my paintings to sparkle to the space station lol. Have a beautiful day! 💞
Hello liz i love this painting its Beautiful thanks for showing us the difference i didn't know what fairy dust drills are since im still new to diamond painting. So thanks for showing us..have a nice rest of your week😊😊😊😊😊
I kind of like the fairy dust drills. I think they provide a nice glimmer or shimmer to my paintings when I want a more subtle accent. I’ve actually added them to several paintings when they weren’t originally included. Everyone enjoys different styles, which is good or it would be a boring world. TFS and blessings to you and yours 😊
Liz I gotta agree with you on this one. I loved FD at first, especially DMC 550. I thought it was so luscious. Then I said oh yay let’s order multiple 100% FD kits from Ali express. First of all, they place very beautifully and line up perfectly. But! That’s where the magic ends. I’ve done 2 out of the 3 kits that I bought. They are so dull. Flat. Matte. They look dusty. They live up to their name. You look at them and say ‘meh’🤷♀️ You see a faded out image that’s super cute and super underwhelming. I’ll probably Destash the 3rd kit. Great video hon, and it took a lot of chutzpah to put it out there! That’s why we love ya!❤
Good evening Liz! I agree 💯. Fairy Dust is pretty to an extent but doesn’t do anything for the canvas. I would prefer AB, Rhinestones, and I think some paintings would be cool with Glow in the dark. For example, Halloween canvases, night sky, etc.
I like the mix, I think when done well (like the tree) it can add a depth of dimension that allows the normal and ab drills to pop even more. I also have a thing for matte effect be it fd, nail polish or cars 😂
In my humble opinion, the fairy dust is so pretty up close and I like the ease of use. However, I agree with you, I also prefer abs and regular only. The problem with fairy dust is they totally lose their impact at a finished painting viewing distance.
I like fairy dust, but from my limited experience with it, it needs to be used in more solid color areas where you would otherwise only use the regular drills, not the accenting ABs. In smaller areas where you want more bling, the ABs are better. And the regular drills set off both types nicely, because it's the contrast of types of drills that's the most fun. I suppose I have to say after listening to you, I dislike being blinded by sparkle. LOL
Hi Liz ❤. Love the painting! I appreciate you doing this video. Hope you are doing well. Tyfs have a wonderful night. Blessings to you all ❤

Hi Jennifer ☺️. I agree with all of that. Love glow in the dark drills. I have some paintings with them. Have a great night 😊

They are pretty. Just like the Ab's much more. Thank you and have a great day 😀
I have only worked with ABs so far. I have some fairy dust in my huge stash but haven't made it to them yet.
Hi Kim. You might love them. In fact I hope you do 😁

I can agree with that. Thank you and have a great day 😀
its a lovley painting shame about the drills
Hi Mike 😊 thank you 🥰
I would rather a Fairy Dust then the Ab's. I can't stand the sound of the Ab's.
@Diamondpaintingmommy-k3m sound? I never noticed a sound lol 😁
@LizcraftsDiamondPainting it is like a nails on a chalkboard sound 🤣🤣 maybe I can feel the pen rub against the Ab and I think there is a sound 🤔
