"I can't work with him"... #1 no where in this video did I hear anything related. #2 From what we all know of Costner, he's a consummate gentleman and professional, I doubt he would ever make a statement like that, even if it were true. Why would you put a tag or headline like this?

Exactly and what’s more, Yellowstone Season 5 wraps in August 2022. Parts of his new movie Horizons will also have scenes filmed here (where I live in MT) while Yellowstone is being filmed too. Some scenes are scheduled to be filmed in the Livingston area as well. He’s not leaving Yellowstone, at least not in Season 5.

He's NOT leaving Yellowstone & never said he was. I just saw him in an interview & he said Yellowstone wraps in August & Horizon starts soon after. Parts of it will even be filmed in Montana, near the Yellowstone filming area.

I don't actually care whether the title is clickbait. I watch the video because it was about Yellowstone. I was happy that Costner now has another project to focus on, so he's doing better for himself. there is nothing worse than living your acting career for one character, no matter which character it is.
hasselhoff was Knight Rider. yes, he sang, but I don't think he really did that until after Knight Rider ended. I could be wrong. :)
personally, I have seen my industry destroyed by a standing president making an announcement. I had to recreate myself by creating a business to support myself. along that path, I found other businesses that I could work on, that I didn't realize I had the skills in. Costner has been a director, so directing a project which he enjoys doing is awesome for him. since Costner is only an actor on Yellowstone, he has to realize that whether he enjoys the company or the style of acting that another actor uses, he is contractually bound to play the papa of the family. :)
and Costner is one of the only reasons that I enjoy Yellowstone so much. I appreciate the character Rip, and all of the excellent cast. unfortunately, Costner cannot choose who acts on Yellowstone. so what if he doesn't like working with some of the cast. the only choice he can make in the cast is to leave. :)

But yeah there is no way he's just leaving the show and the thumbnail is what's worst about this particular video, acting like it was due to some internal set drama or whatever when in reality I am wondering where they even got that quote from at all. Probably taken from some other video and then repurposed for this one. Who knows? But yeah Kevin Costner is simply just going to do another project, it's not suggesting he's going to leave Yellowstone to do it. Thankfully.

okay, so you are claiming that the title is clickbait. I can concur with that since the video contained no content about Costner being dissatisfied with anything.
if Costner does want to work on a different project, then his character arc about being governor is going to allow him more time to work on his other project. yes, the title might have been clickbait, but the video presents an idea which makes sense. :)

Kevin Costner has been known for making epic movies and series. Waterworld which is said to be a bomb I personally love the movie, dances with wolves, Hatfield and McCoy's, now yellowstone. Just a phenomenal actor and one of the best at what he does. The guy can tell a story like very very few can. I have been a long time huge fan. And will remain that way unless he would do something crazy but still

I can understand Costner taking on new projects while still filming Yellowstone! The new movie Horizon sounds like a movie Costner will sink his teeth in & give it his all! Every movie I have seen Costner in has been spectacular! Costner is just one of those actors that has that special relationship with the camera! It loves Costner! Nowhere in this video was there any mention or discussion of “I can’t work with him…“. You can be sure that when I see any Famous Focus videos in RUclips in the future, I will be sure to not waste my time with them.

I don't see how you can have Yellowstone without Costner, to be honest.
He's not my favorite character, he's not super essential to the story, but he IS the main central point for all the biggest and best characters.
I mean I can understand him not being your favorite character but he is essential to it. He's still alive. He's the owner of the ranch. Etc. There IS a way to rewrite around him but it's not ideal to have to do it if he's leaving right away. This video isn't confirmed to be true yet. And the article the creator is quoting from doesn't definitively say he's leaving just that he's making a movie. He can do both. They're going to have to structure them around each other but it's not like this has never happened before or something.

Costner leaving does not leave departing. Many times actors are contractually obligated to other productions and take a leave of absence but still are on staff with other ventures to start.
Costner is probably an investor of the show and with vested production rights.
Show is a goldmine right now.

Talk about false advertising or a misleading title. There is nothing mentioned in this vid about him not being able to work with anyone let alone the great Cole Hauser(pictured). Costner can’t just disappear as the whole show revolves around his character

Yes I think Horizon will be a hit because everything that Kevin Costner touches turns to gold he is one of my favorite actors. Dancing with wolves was a great film. But in my view JFK was one of his best and the reason I say that is because he had a tremendous amount of lines to remember and perform and make it all believable and I thought he did a phenomenal job.

Kevin Costner is an extraordinary actor who really has a way of telling the story. Most anything he stars in usually has a way of being a hit. Stepping away from Yellowstone will be hard I think. He has made that show shine as well as the other cast members. I think he will do well in this next adventure of his as his heart is invested in it. I can only wish him well in this next step on his journey.

Because even though he isn't leaving Yellowstone, he is taking on a new project which is a new journey for him. With that being said, I stand by what I said, that he is an incredible actor and that I wish him well on ANYTHING that he does.

I was born and raised in South Texas just south of the King Ranch. When I was younger my father hired a man who did professional research on family lineages to do research on our family. We discovered that much of the King Ranch land was strong armed & stolen by white American settlers from the Mestizo families who had been given Spanish land grants; which included my family, the Montemayor’s.
And before the Spanish came, that same land was inhabited by the Karankawa natives; a native indigenous tribe rumored to have been cannibalistic.
…It would be really interesting if someone did a Netflix show based on the history of the King Ranch.

With his character being given the official nod for a governor canpaign or Acting Governor, he can be out of the plot more, but his character was one of the biggest reasons that I liked the show so much. The character behind the spinoff 6666 was the other reason that I watched Yellowstone... "What's Jimmy going to do this week?" :)

@@NoBody12133 yes, it is conceivable that he put together a project that is more attuned to the story that he wants to present. Costner is not the programming lead on Yellowstone. I believe he is supposed to be the programming lead on the other project that was presented, that he seems to have a deep desire to be invested in. you are presenting the idea that an actor and director might not be allowed to work on multiple projects at the same time. that is complete hogwash, and yes I agree that his role as an actor on Yellowstone would not require too much time to keep him away from the ability to lead another series, and manage or produce a second series that is more to his liking and preferences.
Do your research, entertainment reporters. The ranch for which the Yellowstone spinoff is named has never been, is not now, and never will be the "6-6-6-6". It is "the Four 6's". GET IT RIGHT!
I have been watching all of these news reports on Yellowstone and Kostner and crew. There was a blurb about this noting definite. What was said was his current wife is raising 3 small children and is threatening to divorce him if he doesn't come home to LA. She could bring the family to Montana. 🤷♀️ Season 5 is mostly in the can. He is Governor. I don't see contractually how he could just step away. What if his show ends up being such a success as Yellowstone. Or is it just a movie, not a series? I just don't see it happening at this time.
I really don’t like people who mislead me. The come along lead me to believe that Costner and Rip (don’t know his real name) don’t get along. I really don’t understand why Costner would be involved in a production that can’t get two sentences together without the F-bomb. In front of women, childern, and even the governor. yes, Beth and Jimmy are the two actors that I really enjoy on the show. actually every actor, and the ensemble, doing absolutely great job on presenting their characters, and the entire editing and presentation team also never seem to fail to present and effective "soap opera?" that keeps me coming back to find out what is happening now. ;)

Do your research, I live 5 miles north of Chief Joseph Ranch in Darby Montana which is the set location. We are 75 miles south of Missoula Montana and none of the filming is in Missoula. I share my neighborhood with set locations such as the protest in season four.

He isn't 6th generation, his great grandfather played by Tim McGraw in 1883 was the founder of the ranch he lives in today making him the first generation. John Dutton would be the 4th generation after his dad, grandpa and great grandpa.
Tim McGraw's son, John Dutton(five years old in 1883) is Costner's Great Great Grandfather so you need to check that math again...
