Withe was getting kicked all game but got his own back as Shaw scored. Their goalie was a nutter and Cowans was lucky not to get a serious injury when the keeper kicked him into the back of the net after the penalty. Unbelievable stuff.

They had Cruyff and Neskeens in the 1970's and had Schuster and Mardona in the 1980's followed by Lineker after the 1986 World Cup. Barca had Romario and Stiockov in the early 1990's followed by Ronaldo the brazilian and later had Rivaldo and Ronaldinhio before the Messi years. At one time or another these players were considered the best in the World of the time. Probably not even Real Madrid can say they had this much quality players. By the way I am a Liverpool fan and no fan of Barca, however truth must be told.
