Excellent episode, the tile rippling effect was very successful! Looking forward to the next episode.
How ambitious! Your scene turned out great! That rippling tile wall is so cool. I never would have figured out how you did it in camera. 🎉
Bonkers! Top shelf work all around! Bravo!
Wow wow wow.... wow!
Paranorman is my favorite animated film. It was so brilliant cause all of the characters in that movie had development. The message of the film was so brilliant. You think at first that its another story of being the chosen one, being born unique automatically you're the chosen one but noooo 😄 Norman understood it was more, that yes his task is to *spoiler* tell her the story to sleep again but he understood that its about caring and talking to her. Norman's amazing not because of his skill, but because of his empathy (his virtues) its not about him being a hero, but a story of dealing with something difficult with kindness, empathy towards others. Its been years but I still think this movie is amazing, thanks for a live remake! ❤
Stephanie from Glow Up season 1! Loved her on that. Great work with the short!
This is better than 100% of Hollywood studios do, since they are actually using practical effects instead of dumping CGI nonsensically.
I love your channel and style! The detail from behind the scenes and professionalism together is really cool.
That's an awesome compliment coming from a great channel like yours. I hope they see it
Definitely my favorite video from you all. Absolutely insane work.
Good lord, this video needs more views. Brilliant. Why hasn’t the all powerful algorithm picked it up yet? Got your SEO sorted lads?
Love everything this channel is brave enough to upload. Criminal that you aren’t on the top of everyone’s homepage.
I really enjoy watching these creative videos
You are all legends! The end result was epic - so worth all the effort. And the breakdown is just a wonderful introduction to the myriad of skills and techniques that go into film making.
Top notch work guys n gals !!! Keep it up !!
Absolutely beautiful. Good work 👍🏿
Excellent work chaps, why this has not got more views or subscriptions is a crime
Looks great - love the practical effects approach!
pure genious
What you guys did was amazing this looks sick
You guys are amazing, the quality of your channel and the work you put into it deserves so many more views and subscribers. I’m sure you will end up rising above the top filmmaking channels.
Did not know how much goes into making a small film, youre all great
This is stunning! Honestly so I’m awe of the effort you guys went to to get the shots!
Phenomenal work! This is absolutely incredible!! A whole feature that blended this handcrafted look scaled up to live action would be so fantastic - Dr Caligari on steroids!!!
Wow, this is absolutely incredible guys, bravo!
Very, very interesting!
And great work!
It looks so damn good! You guys keep one-upping yourselves. You brought an animated scene to life! And it looks amazing! It always amazes me how much hard work goes into a scene that's a couple of minutes long. Just incredible. Nicely done. I'm looking forward to the next video.
Good grief, that is impressive. I was a special effects makeup artist in live theatre for 27 years--and I dealt a bit in specialty props. No Internet when I started. If only you lot had been there back then to make these videos...! This is a brilliant channel.
Wow! Ive only just got around to watching this, without a doubt the most entertaining and educational channels on YT, the creativity and execution from everyone never ceases to amaze me
This is so much fun; and JB makes a great ghost.
Why does this not have more views? All the time and effort you put into this deserves more attention, seriously. Heck, I would love to see you guys create your own independent movies. This is really amazing.
The reenactment itself is over on Laika's channel and is getting a fair number of views.
I ask myself this on every video that this channel has released.
I assume the a RUclips algorithm is punishing them because of the presence of Guns in previous videos
This is a CRAZY amount of hard work and creativity - I feel inspired just watching you guys!
Absolutely incredible, I *LOVE* seeing practical stuff like this!
You Guys Rock!!!! This is amazing!
This is incredible! The work you do is genius!
This was an AMAZING watch. That opening scene was incredible, especially knowing it was done with practical effects. Once again the team has created a top notch series. Thanks to the team for all the amazing hard work!
Beautiful work. im excited for this series
Wow, these detailed behind the scenes is really unique and fun to watch! I love every second of it :)
Absolutely astounding, guys!
That looks incredible. You guys should be so proud!! I'm so impressed with the love and talent that went into this. The practical effects have such an emotional impact.
Love these videos.
This is insane. Why this only have 600 views?
Amazing work!
YESSSS THIS IS WICKED .
Soooo good! Fantastic production. ❤
This is bonkers good! Awesome work guys can’t wait to see part two! 😎👌🔥🔥🔥
Awesome job, guys!
Someone may have already suggested this, but another great way to get quick gaps/trenches in EVA foam is to cut a single line and then go over that line with some heat from a heat gun. It causes some contraction of the foam which widens the cut. It also has the added benefit of sealing the foam!
Ok, that looked really, really good! Can't wait for the next part!
You guys nailed it! That came out so good, I can't wait for part 2!
Didnt know they were doing a 4k rerelease in cinemas, too bad they arent going to do it at my cinemas I would have loved seeing it. The amount of work you guys put into this was amazing and i cant wait to see the part 2 subcribed :D
It looked so amazing!! Fantastic work as always guys, can't wait for the next one!
OMG THIS IS BEYOND AWESOME. This is one of my favourite movies and what you guys did was amazing.
This was so good! So impressed with all the hard work you put into your scene!
Incredible set!
This didn't even show up in my feed, I only discovered it today because I love this channel so much and kept checking back. Keep up the effort and hopefully youtube will get their act together...
underrated
Wow, keep'em coming guys. This is what I've been waiting for from this channel. Stunning work everyone!
Holy shit, did I just stumble upon my favorite channel? What the hell was I doing watching Corridor Crew?
Foam core tiles. I could’ve sworn it was styrene it looked shiny. And that’s what I would’ve used. So every day you learn something new.
Awsome!
This is fucking amazing!!!!!
Only the best quality content don’t get noticed.
Love your channel and the videos your team makes :)
Superb ! Love your channel
Awesome episode, Chaps! Can't wait for the next one. Question: How was the finish on the cistern achieved? (looked amazing!)
Paranorman come out ten years ago! Damn, I'm old.
This is awesome. How far are you going to go? Animating the toilet paper ghosts?
for the algorithm
just letting you guys know that for some reason I didn't get the notification for this video till today November 2nd, youtube is like hiding you from me
In the edit you had the non clean feed recording from the monitor. Was this as a sort of proxy workflow?
That's right, this allowed our DIT to instantly drop takes over the original edit of the scene so we could check timing
Why didn't you get Austin Dickey to play Alvin? :P
When wearing a full body harness, you really don’t want to trap your plumbs.
You're working with enough water as it is and bringing tears to your eyes would not be a good look.
🤣😂🤣
How did your moustache grow back
As always... *FANTASTIC!*
OH...and by the way... _please..._ *DON'T EVER SHAVE AGAIN!*
Imagine if - and I say IF - he liked being unshaven? I know he doesn't, but imagine if. Who are you to tell him whether he can or can't shave?
And Errol Flynn is gone 🤣
I love this so forgive me for saying it: You should not have cast yourselves. Adults playing school children is so off-putting and distracts from the pure genius of everything else. Just my 2 cents. Great video.
