Btw: 1:00 This is not a TCAS warning, this is a Morse code that was also captured by the ATC that signaled A-T-T-N (meaning Attention).
There's so much to unpack about this.
In the DHL plane, the pilot and F/O instantly became passengers in their own plane. Nothing they did after the collision could have possibly save them, as the tail was basically destroyed.
I like how you said Unpack
Poor guys did everything right
yes
Nobody saw this coming
Oh hell nah 💀
Hey brother you is Dajjal
@@Blackbilek69 what they did
Captain Paul Phillips (aged 47) British and First Officer Brant Campioni (aged 34) Canadian
Well, I think he saw the Russian plane approaching. After the crash, sounds from the plane sounded. The most horrible thing is that the plane sank about 70 degrees, making turns. If you are wondering why the CVR lasts a short time, it is because after the impact one of its motors was torn off and without a motor the power goes away and without power the CVR stops recording. The impact of the plane was so horrible that the rear part was the only part that could be repaired.
The crash that demonstrated how technology is only effective when human decision-making isn’t involved in its implementation.
That's a little sad that everyone cries about died children in TU154, but nobody thinks about these guys that followed for all of the instructions to avoid the collide.
That’s true but they are KIDS that died young of course everybody is going to cry about and DHL is a cargo airliner so there’s is no passengers in the plane
@@TrollAnimations160there were pilots in the DHL too, everybody's death is sad
@@k.szaroldinhoindeed. Infact i think they were conscious all the way to their death, unlike the bashkirian passengers and crew who must've died instantly after their TU-154M was cut into 2
tupolev pilots ignore TCAS instructions due to listen instructions from ATC bcause TCAS system was something new for them in the old plane like tu154 but its chain of faults we cant say that only atc or tu pilots made this disaster so whats more theres one victim more of this disaster , later atc was killed by father of family which die im this disaster
@@nitsgupta6670an unfortunate detail about the crew of the Bashkirian: they didn’t die instantly, they were conscious for around 45 seconds after the collision, and were only unconscious for a short amount of time. once they re-entered the atmosphere, they regained consciousness and according to CVR transcripts, they were conscious enough to acknowledge the ground coming straight at them. wish it wasn’t true, hope it isn’t true.
The worst part is knowing that after that last F me, they're still in a flat spin for ~ 2 minutes. Can't imagine how terrifying it must've been
Wait they entered a flat spin? I thought they just dutch rolled before they crashed.
@@Peppermynt.It was a 70 degree nose down spin.
BTC 2937 listened to ATC instead of listening to TCAS, while DHL 611 did everything alright by listening to TCAS. this couldve been easily prevented if BTC 2937 had listened to TCAS instead of ATC
Something seems off here, wouldn't the TCAS voice be sounding off in the background?
It did but that part of the CVR was never released, these are 3 snippets from the official MAK Animationpieced together not one whole recording. "Traffic" "Descend" and "Increase Descend" from the TCAS did not appear in the MAK animation
@@AsimovXVwhat? The cvr Is Fake? O recreation?
@UPDCOUBTRYBALLS What? Asimov didn't say anything about the cvr being a recreation. He said the tcas parts were never released, not the whole cvr was not released.

0:21 he said “have you got us airborne Paul?”
Likely, yes.
Did this get leaked or something? CVR of this has been suddenly on RUclips
When the impact happened. Was it in the air or like a bit near the ground?
@@splkzyy it was in the air-
@@splkzyy they were in the air, cruising altitude. The most likely reason the recording stops so soon is the CVR is located in the tail of the plane and it was the fin at the top that collided with the other plane, most likely the recording stopped because the entire tail came off
@@DethMayDie F*&& me was heard on the TU154 cvr
@@DethMayDie Nope, reason was that the left engine broke off from thw wing, causing all power to be lost, including the CVR.
Adicione legends
Ngl but their last words were sad😢
i have a question, why did this cvr cutoff? google said that it cuts off when electrical power is lost, so, did they lose electrical power?
Yes, you are right.
I'm am late to reply, but the CVR cut off because of the engines detaching due to the freefall of the plane. when the vertical stabilizer tore off they had no control, so they entered a flat spin which weakened the engines, causing them to tear off, hence the CVR abruptly cutting off.

everyone was sad because a child died in tupolev but no one talks about DHL
The Russian plane followed order from ATC to decrease altitude but the plane DCAS told them to climb and for the pilots since it was a decade after the USSR collapsed it's part of their culture to listen to ATC instead of what the plane is telling them to do and the controller was killed by a person who claims that the ATC controller was at fault but he wasn't
0:54
Is this real? If so, how did the first officer remain that calm?
Yes it is real. They remained calm, because they were very professional.
@@GeNoAviation firstly thanks a lot for the extremely punctual reply! And damn, those pilots saw that huge flying piece of metal and knew they were gonna hit it, yet remained as calm as still water. RIP to everyone lost
@@nitsgupta6670 The anti-collision (TCAS) system told 611 to descend, and 2937 to climb, however the ATC was distracted and told 2937 to descend, the pilots of 2937 should've prioritized TCAS directions, but listened to the controller instead, 611 ended up crossing just below 2937, the vertical stabilizer of 611 shearing right through the middle of 2937, splitting it in two. I'd assume the pilots of 611 were a lot calmer because only the tail section of the plane had been destroyed, so they were less aware of the extent of the damage. If you haven't listened to the CVR tape of 2937 already it is much more horrifying, it stayed connected to the cockpit much longer after the impact where you can hear the captain gasping for air in the thin atmosphere and apologizing.
@@sanjuyon_ yes I've seen the deadly crossroads air crash investigation 3 times, depressing but what a glaring error. Not TCAS sos alarm
Could someone explain to me if TCAS knows to to reverse the instruction if the other plane is not obeying its TCAS? I've seen TCAS go from e.g. descend to, CLIMB, CLIMB NOW! if the intruder plane is not obeying its TCAS? If so why did this not happen here?
The TCAS has given warning signals that cannot be heard on the recording.
@GeNoAviation oh okay. I can try look it myself but on the flight data recorder but do you know tcas alert the on told the crew the other plane wasn't obeying tcas and them instructed them to go up rather than down?
@@majorskies7091 TCAS was working on both planes , DHL Had order to descend and Bashkirian Had order to climb but in the critical moment the tupolev crew get the instruction from ATC to descend too so they Had a choice listen to stressed voice of ATC or calm voice of TCAS , they were choose the ATC order because at that time there werent instructions which signal the pilots must choose firstly its the main aftermath of that disaster after all the new law said that in the situation where atc and TCAS saying two diffrent commends the pilot must listen to TCAs
oh yeah im aware of that, I was just asking I meant does TCAS have the ability to give further advice to one plane if the other plane is not obeying their TCAS? So in this case, because the Bashkiranian place went down instead of up, can TCAS tell the DHL plane to stop going down but go up?@@fgddgfgf9076
@@fgddgfgf9076actually, in the report of this flight, it was only again made clear that pilots had to follow TCAS. It was always mandatory from it's inception to follow it, these pilots just disobeyed that rule. There is no excuse for what they did here.
That "Fvck Me!" Got Me Dying.☠💀☠.
So they were alive after the collision?
The horizontal stabilizer was ripped off, when they hit the TU154, but the fuselage was still intact. Maybe these poor guys were still well alive and conscious until impact with the ground.
@@MikeFoxtrot87 what a horrific scenario...I can't imagine how they did suffer in their last seconds
@@ZeroGravity23 sadly, everyone died
@@MikeFoxtrot87 vertical stab ripped off not horizontal it stayed intact for 2 minutes dont know if impacted whole or broke up just before
If they would have lived. They would have to go on with knowing they hit a plane full of Children that all died.
so loud
Why the plane crash? It still have 2 engine only tail lose
Well the horizontal and vertical stabilizers fell off. Without them it is impossible to control the aircraft, because they are (as the name suggests) responsible for the horizontal / vertical alignment of the aircraft.
@@GeNoAviation Not only that but as the plane spun helplessly to the ground the G forces literally ripped one or both engines right off their mountings violently killing the power. The DHL crew had it worse than the BTC crew as the latter went unconscious and died much quicker due to lack of oxygen and G forces as the front half tumbled like an unguided bomb while the DHL crew were tumbling for another 2 minutes trying to fight for control (even though it was clearly futile) until crashing 4 miles away from where the remains of the BTC Tupolev ended up. May god rest all the souls of both aircraft & Peter Nielson the ATC
@@Thunderbolt_1000_Siren Thank you for the addition.
@@Thunderbolt_1000_Siren You can hear the pilots of the BTC crew wake up on the other CVR though about 20 seconds after impact. The rest wasn't release so no idea what they were like after that.
