I've said it before and I'll say it again... This guy is an amazing host. He's knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and his commentary is great. Two thumbs-up for Matthew :)
Dallas, specifically Carrolton, is one of the best places in America for Korean food. There is a multitude of Korean cafes, restaurants, bakeries, and so much more.
You know what I like? Nobody is losing their shits over the fact that she wasn’t wearing gloves when she grabbed the fired chicken. I appreciate y’all.
I've been making the brisket kimchi jjigae for at least 10 years! Mainly because I travel to Austin so often, and I bring a block of brisket from LA Barbecue (used to be from Franklin's BBQ) each time I come back. I freeze it in smaller slabs and put it in my kimchi jjigae whenever I'm hungry.
Micheal. When we, Korean, says samgyopsal, it means the pork belly. Bossam is the name of a menu which is served with various boiled pork parts, sometimes it's not even a pork but other things like seafood etc., and vegetables. Bossam does not mean samgyopsal.
yongdol73 You are right. I'm Korean as well, but when I hear samgyopsal, I generally correlate that to bbq. At home and some restaurants, we generally eat bossam made of pork belly. Rarely it's knuckle or other cuts as I live outside of korea.
Those dishes look delicious. Just not to sure if I trust this guy doing the review. Something about the way he talks makes me skeptical. Sorry if its you and your reading this.

Never thought I would see a place I frequent on this channel!! Gotta love Dallas!
My favorite water episode thus far. This guy needs more episodes. He was super easy to watch and explained what he was eating so well. 10 out of 10
Welcome to Dallas! Hope there's a series of Texas videos. Keep up the good work bud!!

mattatouille I agree, i lived in dallas all my life but LA is the pinnacle of korean food. Sad but true
Don’t sleep on Philly either...
Apparently the BBQ Brisket and Kimchi Jjigae combo was a one weekend special... =( needs a come back!

Nice keep up the good work Matt.
This has to be my fav just because of the variety of the foods
In Dallas at the moment. Was really excited to try the kimchi jjigae and samgyupsal but I don’t see it on the menu. 😢
That looks great. I would try all of it!!
You know what I like? Nobody is losing their shits over the fact that she wasn’t wearing gloves when she grabbed the fired chicken. I appreciate y’all.
This has got to be one of the best K-town episodes
Amazing.
That.. looks seriously gourgeous!!!!!!
We need’em in korea!!!
I'm not too big of a fan of kimchi but he is so right. Kimchi does pair well with BBQ
hell yes it does. Sweet and smokey with sharp, acidic and spicy. I could kill for that.
It basically holds the place of pickles.
probiotic food can effect some people more strongly then others.
Going to Dallas in April, strongly considering stopping by for the brisket dish and those fries....
Awesome!
Bro, you nailed it. Now somebody buy me a ticket to Texas *make it ONE WAY*
Fries with kimchi and mayo is da bomb!
that looks so flipping good.
Seems like an episode where Nick should have guest starred. Matt really channelled his inner Nick when describing the funk though lol
This is a fantastic idea for a fusion restaurant
I’m Jumping on a plane tomorrow. I’m drooling
Dank!
The "dank notes"
Pete &Pete Great band name. 😂

Damn I must go
Koreans move to America… make bbq… use local ingredients… add a few local techniques… turns into Merica!!!
@ 4:48 BUTTER in the kimchi jjigae?!?!?!
Were those knobs of butter that were thrown into the jigae?
Mukbang time!!!
That pork looks amazingly yummy
Someone needs to open up a restaurant like that in California.
Yes they do. I would live there.
We just need a Vietnamese version of this with Texas BBQ brisket in pho.
This is genius

I can't help but stare at his moustache.
How they didn't shut down during the covid. I'm moving there in September
well i guess im going to dallas
How many hours does the host log at the gym per week?
This looks like one of the better Korean fusion restaurants but I still prefer good old fashioned grandma Korean cooking
matt, would you say that this place does korean/american fusion BBQ better than the previously featured heirloom market BBQ in atlanta?
My nigga just ate the skin of the fried chicken 😂😂
This is perhaps one of the greatest food inventions since bacon. A moment of silence..........................................
so is there no more meat show?
Oh wow, they put cubes of butter in their kimchi jjigae
혈관이 막히고 썩지도 않아서 10만년 후에도 미이라로 발견 될 것 같은 비주얼이다 ㄷㄷㄷ

Brisket in a kimchi stew!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
The pork belly reminded me more of bossam the way it was cut
Michael because it is? It’s just not boiled but smoked
brozors he comments that it looks like samgyopsal

What happen to the egg that goes into the chigae? That would have been decadent.
We, Korean, don't put egg in Kimchie jjigae. Never saw it, never heard of such a thing.
probably thinking of sundubu (silken tofu) jjigae.
My bad I was thinking of sundubu. I miss me some. That would be killer if it was sundubu. Just add tofu?
max kellerman in the background
Everyone loves the host but this is such an acquired taste that most people won’t acclimate to
Looooonnnng ad
TX Q is the best Q.
D A N K N O T E S
She looks like she is in her late 30s, early 40s and he looks like he is about to turn 60 lmao.
#colonized
It's just his beard. But he does have a relatively young face
white dudes that age quickly look geriatric by their 40s while asian women who are lucky and dont age look 30 in their 50s
why do you never see people in these cooking videos using the correct boards for the job? kimchi on a blue fish board? only chefs will know this btw
Is this North Korean-American cuisine?
is it bad that i was checking out the girl in the north face fleece more than the food?
ninjamonkeys21 The one in front of her with the green jacket was better
Vegan free!
I'll take Chinese anyway !
that doesn't look like year old kimchi from the video. The cabbage won't be that light of a color
My grandpa is 95... and still has ALL of his original teeth.....
When are you suppose to wear dentures????
Great food, the dude needs to shave that bum fluff lol

white dude into asian chicks. never see that. never.
benblexbenblex see them sometimes here in Denmark
Only ugly Asian girls go for white guys. Pretty ones are taken by Alpha asian males.
Dude u need to shave, it’s not working
Kimchi jjigae and BBQ is very good. but Don't mix together... Normally Kimchi jjigae put a pork or tuna...
hipster food again.
Can we get a little less Kimchi? I feel like every video of this is just nothing but Kimchi. I'm bored.
Amocoru So the show is called "K-Town". Good luck with that. (🗣️ It's a Korean show)
who else want to see MK finish all that food on the table? 😁
The crew would be very sad and very hungry
