Here's an ode to the beautiful capital of Srilanka as we discover a little something about the history, culture, people, and the connection between India and Srilanka (very important). Here I am going to focus on the places mentioned in Ramayan, where Buddha and Samrat Ashoka's son visited, and how they spread Buddhism in Sri Lanka.
You will also see other touristy places, where to stay, what to eat and what to buy in Srilanka.
So, here's my detailed itinerary and travel guide for Colombo.

Have been to Sri Lanka & stayed in Colombo for 4 days. Lovely place.
Srilanka has amazing beaches and some really beautiful architecture. This is a great itinerary. Will keep this in mind.
Sri Lanka had been on my travel wish list for a long. After watching this video, I am sure I will visit the country once.

Colombo is such a beautiful place! I love this itinerary of yours. We were in Colombo for 3 days.
Sri Lanka is going through a very tough time right now economically and politically. They rely on tourism and it is such a beautiful country. I really hope I get to see it someday.
I really wish to visit Sri Lanka... Heard a lot about this beautiful nation and the people's hospitality. We have a plan in mind let's see when it happens and thanks for the itinerary it will surely help us planning our Itinerary when we visit.

Travel from Colombo to Ella by train. You can see Ravana Fall, Ravana Cave, Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adams Peak (where King Ravana worshiped the sun),
Thanks for the input. Had not much time for the train ride but visited Ravana cave and fall. May be next time cover the Adams peak and arch bridge.
