Wow-everything turned out so pretty. You got quite a few done on a short time. I think it’s so great the way your husband contributes and he also has a great eye for color and composition. Such an artist family! Thank you for sharing.
You are such a creative and talented family. I love your husband's envelopes, and what you have done with them. I have never made an Easter journal, but these kits may be my tipping point. Hope you are having fun with your family.
I love the Easter season, I just made an Easter journal for my Sister in law using your Easter kit. The kit is just perfect. Thanks for making all of these videos before you left for your trip. 💕🌴😍
Easter is such a cheerful time with all the bunnies and chicks and beautiful flowers. The flip tag journal cards are inspired. I want to make several plus one for my idea book. The prints on the envelopes are so pretty it’s a shame to cover them. I’ve never seen the telegram fold before. That’s another one I want to remember. 😊
These Easter goodies are just delightful! The envelopes really nice shapes & sizes, I think my favorite is the telegraph one, it’s such a clever little one with a big surprise! All the bunnies are so much fun, too! Thank you to Stefi also!
What a fun video, Rachel. I shall be on the other side of the mountain for Easter. Going to my daughters and she will have an Easter egg hunt for the little ones. I should make some of these for everyone. Might put a little something in the envelopes just for an extra bit of fun. Thanks for the wonderful video💖💖💖💖
What wonderful ideas this morning - like all of your projects! My problem is that I get so busy watching, I forget to make an example for later! I'm still procrastinating on an idea book! I love visiting with you each day, thanks! Diane from Tampa, Florida
I love those pockets 😊and yes I HAD to purchase them. I’m glad to hear your renovations are going well. When are you hoping to be back in your apartment
Oh the peek-a-boo bunnies were so fun and those envelopes are so yummy! The telegram folded one could possibly fit a gift card for happy mail if you add a small pocket inside - would be cute for co-workers or sending to sisters ;)
Love the tags with flips, definitely on my to make list when I get back to crafting, I had major surgery on my knee 3 weeks ago and can’t craft yet. Hope you had/or are having a great time in Australia with your family. Xxx
Rachel, Rachel, Rachel.... hint: in the south when we say 3 names it's either, uh-oh, or that's great. Of course for you, that's great. We are in a similar position where we finally have permanent temporary housing. The apartments still are not finished, and we got tired of waiting so decided to rent another house which becomes available this summer. So when I went to get my craft supplies, the uhaul storage room we had had a leak, and almost everything I had was ruined, but there were special items that the Lord looked after and they just got wet, no mildew/ mold. I know, gross. And in that bag was my version of your 2020 you know what slow stitch roll. It was smelly, but no other damage. It flooded me with memories. All the many, many nights I could not sleep. My sons job was shuttered and the state of Virginia stole $50,000 from him in the worst unemployment debacle in our country's history. They've admitted to $2 billion in "inappropriate" payments and ruined the lives of over one million people. But everything worked out. The world seems to be healing, and restrictions lessening. The arthritis in my hands make embroidery difficult, so I improvised and used my beloved sewing machine, which had a minor issue, and she's all oiled up and cleaned inside ready to get back to work. I remember making French knots and yoyos and straight stitches, and with each stitch I remembered something to be grateful for, prayed for all Healthcare workers and patients and their families. This week a gentleman was finally released from the hospital after 112 days. His ins. Company were probably the happiest to see him go, but the medical where I am treated, his caregivers and support staff lined up to wish him well and goodbye because they absolutely care about every life. But, Rachel, you got so many of us through those dark, dark days by providing a safe place to congregate to laugh, make art, be thankful for the living, and heartbroken for the victims and their families. The funny story of the old woman mask enforcer who stood guard at her gate, the barking dogs, your birthday was incredible, so many talented people whose lives you've touched as well. I'll stop rambling, but the 2020 piece is saved, and I'm shocked at how well it turned out. My computer and printers were in the area of the leak, my new printer turns on. I don't know about the desktop, but it was wrapped. I'm too chicken to try it. I'm going to cheat again and use my sewing machine on the slow stitch project, and I'm making it for me. It's wonderful seeing Sarah and your mom's exquisite work. She has the same name as our kitten, Brindle, Jr., whom we call Juju, or Juzz. Thank you so much for your tireless contributions in restoring handwork of all kind back. Even if I'm just making simple straight stitches, it's something really satisfying about holding the textiles, the feel of the cloth, the sound of pulling the needle through. I'm stopping. You're awesome. I'm even inspired to restart my little channel, really just to encourage people that if I can do it, then, you too, can find a way to overcome some of the physical barriers. I have two old quilts I cannot bear to cut up, so I cheated and made a quilt square that I'm going to lightly tea stain, I think. Big hugs, Patricia
