    Hello, here s someone who has played a lot of dredge legacy recently. i first wanted to thank you for your video and multitude of decklist to look at and learn from. As i improved a lot throught your video, i wanted to take some time to share some observation through my tryhard with the deck. When i started with the deck, i saw the thassa's oracle combo as the real objective. Did many league and a top 8 in challenge with it. After many trial i came up with those observation : having 2 game plan is the best, but it is still NECESSARY to get 3 dread return as : it give you the chance to double ox into oracle and make oracle plan much more consistent. I find the counter argument of vexing bauble unjustified as even though it might be countered, it is also NECESSARY to use many dread return through vexing bauble for the anger plan. It build up a board through poxwalker and bridge that is massive. Otherwise i wanted to share that i'm a big fan of leyline of sanctity sideboard as it help staying alive long enough against red deck and battle through endurance deck. Hope my observation might help you through improving the legacy dredge. Thank you again. PS : i also did 6-2 + split through the request of my opponent as i had bad tiebreaker for the anzid tournament.

      Congrats on your run and thanks for your observations! We both went 6-3 in AnziD's tournament, making Dredge one of the best-performing decks there. As for the deckbuilding, I'm back to 2 Dread Return now (really missed the second copy) and also included Leyline of Sanctity back, but I'll keep testing new ideas here and there since the metagame is shifting every week. You mentioned Leyline of Sanctity helps against red decks-are you referring to Painter or another one? Will you be playing at the Eternal Weekend? Let's keep dredging!

      @@MahfuzVanGogh Hello, i only play on mtgo as it s arleady time draining. The red deck i meant was the broadside bombardiers pyrogoyf one as it help surviving and avoiding getting burst. the problem is that even if you survived long enought to make full of zombie with cabal therapy poxwalker dread return throught the vexing bauble, they might burst you if you dont have haste. even with haste they play the one ring. so leyline of sanctity x3 is good against them.

      @@MahfuzVanGogh you have to know that they dont play leyline of the void throught their recent tournament on mtgo. otherwise you should put into the flood maw.

    Thanks for the video! I have a long flight tomorrow and I will be watching it.
    Also thanks for the content: i took satoru dredge to a top 8 finish as Swiss nationals few weeks back.

    I definitely prefer Ice Age Brainstorm over Mercadian Masques - but being a fan of Ron Spencer since Fallen Empires, I like his art from the Double Masters box toppers even more. Keep up the good content - I never played dredge but it's very entertaining to watch.

    whats the idea behind different fetchlands instead of x4 scalding tarns for example? Is it against surgical?

    Is there any consideration for something like shenanigans as an out to bauble, or is that too fragile?

    • @MahfuzVanGogh
      @MahfuzVanGogh  Месяц назад +1

      Shenanigans isn't a great answer to Bauble because it's too slow, but it could be worth considering against Grafdigger's Cage if UB Tempo becomes more popular.

    i still think turbo satoru would be a better choice than regular turbo dredge. :p but maybe its the right choíce i think im biased anyway. looking forward to this video.

      I'll test every build this month, with and without Satoru. We'll probably have around 10 new Legacy videos through November-stay tuned!

    Do prefer careful study over burning inquiry?

      @GatekeeperDatuck 2 месяца назад

      Careful Study can be cast off Cephalid Coliseum. Also, choosing your discards is nicer, in my opinion.

      I like both, they're competing for the same spot in the deck at the moment.
