Hi Clare, I've been thinking about doing the same in-clinic treatment with Calecim, only because they can go deeper than I do at home. I do .5mm and my clinic does 1mm. Thank you Clare, but £170 a month for this treatment is outrageous. Microneedling at home with a Dr Pen (or similar) and your own serum or Hyaluronic acid gives amazing, if not better results. Microneedling in general is just amazing as it produces more collagen and elastin to our skin, shrinks pores and reduces scars, so it's always a win win situation, you just have to make sure your serum is not going to irritate your skin. There are also plenty of growth factors on sale for less money or in great sales .

Hi Claire, this is very exciting and your skin looks absolutely wonderful. When I first found you last year, one of the first videos I watched, was you discussing Calecim. So reading more about it, I decided to invest in a pot and trial it. Well, I’m on my second pot now and 4 months later, there is absolutely no doubt that my face looks plumper, the skin is more hydrated and definitely younger and healthier looking. It’s been a very subtle change over the course of these months, but it has worked for me. Before Christmas I bought some of the Calecim serum and a Dr Pen thinking I might try Microneedling with the serum. I have since tried microneedling a small patch on my chin at 0.5mm depth but was absolutely terrified of it and hated the sensation, so haven’t got round to attempting the full thing as yet.

This is very interesting! I would be interested to hear how you feel the Calecim products compare to Adipeau. I realize they are two completely different products but I am interested in your experience regarding the results of both.
It’s so hard to compare them. Adipeau seems to be helpful for those who have lost facial fat, and particularly those who lost it suddenly due to a heat or energy-based treatment. That’s certainly the feedback I’ve had from viewers. I found it effective in my cheeks but not my forehead, temples or upper eyelids. Calecim is more of an overall rejuvenation product that will improve skin health over time but, from my experience, just at a superficial level. I don’t think it replaces lost volume. That turned into an essay! Hope it makes sense 😁

I have a serious question Have you ever considered speaking with an orthoganist about how they approach anti aging ? Since a lot of the time as we age we loose bone density and although people believe adults can’t benefit from mse expansion on the other hand doctors acknowledge that there is such thing as facial osteoporosis. Could it be that it is the bone under your skin that is affecting your skin? Our faces lengthen and widen as we age our ligaments aren’t the same neither is the cartilage . Are there any orthodontic devises that adults could benefit from in terms of anti aging? I mean the oralift is similar to that as well.

Hi Claire, have you considered testing the exosomes serum from plated? The exosomes are derived from human platelet and they also claim they found a way to allow them to penetrate the skin barrier. it’s the only brand that uses platelet which I find intriguing. I was hesitating between their serum and the Calecim cream and eventually I went for the Calecim because it’s cheaper but may be I’m missing out.
Interesting. I've made a note of them and I'll take a close look at how the exosomes are sourced. I could do a round-up of some of the market leaders in these treatments at the moment.
I will have to try that one next. Mainly limiting their usage to microneedling sessions since the cost is so high. Hoping if I see enough difference to put it in my budget and cut out some other products. I honestly think you look a lot different! I couldn’t believe your lifted appearance. I actually though you had a face lift and that is meant as a compliment. Your whole jawline and forehead look so tight! The microneedling with exosomes really makes a big difference.
@@Joannabanana1989 Oh thank you! Calecim is very expensive so I only use a small amount (mixed with a little face oil) of the multi-action cream in the evenings to make it last and I take breaks from it too. My husband and my dad microneedle with the hair serum which is also excellent but they use it very sparingly to make each box last six months.
It seems to be worth it for the results you and your family are having. Your skin has never looked better! I am 34 and easily think your complexion is like someone my age.
@@Joannabanana1989 Bless you. That's really kind of you to say. I'm exercising more, eating more protein, using a sauna twice a week and red light every other day so there's quite a few things that I think have changed my skin in recent years. But I will say that every time I stop using Calecim I end up going back quickly because my skin starts to become more problematic without it.
Just had my very first exosomes treatment. However I did not get them microneedled in I actually had them injected. And mine were human exosomes, not from deer. Curious to see how much of a change I'll be able to see in the coming days and weeks.
This was really helpful to watch thanks. I recently bought myself a pen to start nano-needling myself at home with a view to trying shallow cosmetic microneedling (0.25mm) once I'm confident enough. Do you think the Calecim could be effective with nano needling and a more shallow microneedling depth? Also, is there any reason this couldn't be applied to the neck and dec area?
I think you’d still see results at that depth. They used a shorter depth around my eyes and I saw an improvement in skin texture there. You can microneedle on your neck and chest too though I would follow a tutorial with a reputable expert first. Hope this helps.
@@thehonestchannel thank you! I'm tempted to buy a vial of the serum and try it at home, maybe with nano needling first (as I see you can use the serum even without needling it?)
I mentioned in the video that this treatment was done free of charge for the purposes of review. It is pretty standard practice to provide theatre tickets, car test runs etc to journalists so that we have the opportunity to try new things and share with audiences.
I like hearing about new products. So what if there is a bias. I trust her. I also believe women are smart and capable of doing additional research on their own.
@@jillpotts7472 Yes, that's right. Usually I pay for my treatments at this clinic but they offered me the chance to review this one along with several other local journalists.
@@kristieellis6455 I appreciate that trust and I do try to give an honest, unbiased account of my experience where I have been given the chance to review something for free. Most importantly though I declare it. That in itself attracts criticism because you're flagging that you didn't pay, but I think the main thing is to be up front.
I’m sure many people appreciate the information you are privileged to deliver. I am one of them -usually - and am a subscriber. However, that you use your journalism background as a convenient excuse to be a content creator comes off to me as insincere. There’s something that doesn’t feel right about getting all these treatments for free to use as advertisements for products or services that are either unneeded, might not work, or even dangerous. I find your over concern with your appearance to be sad. Is every little sag, bag or wrinkle some kind of problem with your or others ‘ character? No - I’d say the opposite is true. I believe that selling a “exterior beauty is everything” attitude as an ideal to the public is sending the wrong message. And by the way, I I’m not against cosmetic procedures, and desiring to look our best as I have had cosmetic procedures also and I am very much into skincare but I’m not to the point of feeling like I have to do something every month or two or even every year or 10! It is my opinion that as a content creator you are misguided in encouraging people towards value systems which pursue a desperate obsessive narcissism of me, me, me! It’s now running rampant out there, which doesn’t say much for those who chase beauty to an extreme. The world isn’t going to end without cosmetic procedures. I’d say that what’s really important Is learning to treat each other with love, kindness and respect all while serving others. That’s where real beauty and self-esteem shine. This post is my opinion and reflects what I see as issues and concerns. Others might see something else.
I think some RUclipsrs resonate with us and others don't and I'm obviously not the one for you. What's important to me as a journalist is that I state whether I paid for the treatment (as I often do) or was offered the treatment for the purposes of review so there is full disclosure. How often do you see that? Not very often.
I'm guessing you haven't watched Clare very much. Of the many beauty AND health influencers, she seems to me the most down to earth and even admits that some of her 'flaws' of her own perception. I agree that in the age of heavy filters and social media, many women (and men) are going in the opposite direction. But as you admitted, caring for our appearance and even doing cosmetic treatments is A -ok if we can keep it in perspective. Cheers to you both.
@@cindysmallwood2695 Thanks Cindy. I appreciate the support. My approach isn't going to chime with everyone but I try to keep it real. Still trying to figure out along with everyone else what aging well looks like and how to get the balance right.
I’d say it’s up there for me to, to do my best to treat others the way I would like to be treated, although challenging on occasion. But you mention what is really important is learning to treat others with love kindness and respect. You haven’t done that here and actually contradicted yourself. In fact you have been quite unkind in your words. There is an old saying “if you can’t be kind be quiet.” I find skipping on and watching something else, if I don’t agree with what I am watching or hearing, to be the best solution. We are not always going to resonate or agree with all we see and hear, but being unkind is not the solution.

Oh wow. I hope you get great results.
Do you mean human umbilical cords?
Ouch AUD400 after a 10% discount for 6 x 5ml vials. Glad the price is for 6 treatments, hopefully you only need one vial per treatment.
The clinic used 1 5ml vial for my treatment. It is very expensive.
There have been some scary issues with scaring from microneedling.
You have to choose your practitioners carefully, that's for sure.
r they giving u free treatments? im concerned that causes bias...
I mentioned in the video that this treatment was done free of charge for the purposes of review. It is pretty standard practice to provide theatre tickets, car test runs etc to journalists so that we have the opportunity to try new things and share with audiences.
later i heard u say the first visit was free and u have to pay for follow up visits.
Can you try fat transfer?
What is the name of the serum?
Calecim. I've linked to it in the description.
Apologies Claire!.. 😅 P.R.P. Obviously you caught my mistake.
Hello Claire! I'm new to your channel & wondering.. have you tried P.L.P. yet?? ❤
I haven’t but it’s such an interesting treatment. I’m hoping to get an expert on the channel soon to discuss. ❤️
What is PLP?

Apologies,! P.R.P. Platelet rich plasma.

which would be PRP. But many folks (including Rajani) are saying PRFibrin is the way to go.@@thehonestchannel
Just ordered exsomes cant wait
Hope you get great results ❤️
@@susancollins4362 Wise words. Thank you. ❤
