I want to like these, but I feel the price is too high in my opinion. These should be like $49 max. How many guys guys are you getting close to your money back on?
I saw another channel that did unboxings. Had an Ichiro, 1/1s of Tom Glavine, Jeff Bagwell and Vlad Sr., and Reggie Jackson from this series. Jabs said it best, this is a lottery ticket. Sometimes you hit big, sometimes you tank. It’s a huge gamble.
I got two boxes today. The first had a 1/1 Roger Clemens 1999 Series 2 Strikeout Kings. The second had a 1993 Bowman Ken Griffey Sr AND Jr dual autograph foil card. I can't believe my luck.
I finally had to admit that I had a problem. I was buying up product anywhere I could and consistently getting nothing in hundreds of dollar of retail and hobby. I have made the decision to no longer buy any new. Graded vintage is my new cup of tea and I’m going to be picky. I don’t think people realize this can become an all In compassing addiction and you would go to the same lengths one might for drugs.
It's crazy seeing some of the "older" autos compared to the "newer" guys. The retired players took pride in how they looked. Thanks for the great video sir, always appreciated!
This feels more like a "Hey, remember this guy? Hey, remember that guy?" product than something worth actually investing in. Even the HoF autos might, on a bad day at least, break even.
I'm always impressed with your ability to identify all of these past and present players Jabs. Also, love the Vida Blue pull. I was lucky enough to meet him a few times through a charity that I volunteer for and he is such a cool person IRL. In my experience with him he was always cool with fans.

I honestly miss being a kid collecting baseball cards. It was cool to pull a regular common card of Frank Thomas for example and guys who you never heard of to complete your team sets. And as a kid growing up it was so much fun to just talk stats and when batting average mattered. Fun times
I've collected in both eras you are talking about(as a kid, and current era), and collecting nowadays can still be great as long as you don't focus on the money aspect of it(outside of setting a budget). Its fun to rip packs of course, but the best way to build a collection is to buy singles and collect what you like. There are some nice things about the modern era of cards - for example, pulling an autograph out of a pack of cards wasn't a thing until the late 90's or so. Which if you told my 10 year old self that you had a legit chance to get an autograph out of a pack of cards, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't believe you.

very weird how the Smoltz auto printed on the card is different than his current signature. I know those change but still awkward to see displayed that way.

Rafael Furcal was a great Braves SS. Too bad he isn't in his Braves jersey because he wasn't really that great for the Dodgers. These boxes were disappointing.
I grabbed two of these at a hobby shop locally and got a 7/13 Cracker Jack Rafael Furcal in his Braves jersey and a 1/1 1987 Topps Mookie Wilson. Cost $70 each. Not sure of the value being worth it, but that Wilson was nice I suppose, being it was right after his World Series heroics. I guess not a terrible hit.
