It might be just me, but At 10:30 when the claw rises up, I feel like there should be a little bit more motion blur cause it's moving pretty fast. Great effect though!!!!
agreed but I think it was more of just to give us an idea on how to go about doing something of this level. Like he stated about tryna render a full CGI scene, tryna do something on that level and go back and move the spline to match would take hours of rendering again.
@@joshtomson3835 true, but you could easily add some motion blur in compositing. For example I use RSMB for realistic motion blur. It's quick so I don't how to render motion blur
Hi! Awesome video, bro A quick tip to animate the splines is to activate the Point Level Animation button. It's the blue button above the timeline (it's at 80F on your screen). With that you can animate the vertices of any model and spline

great result and you can animate a spline with point level animation instead of pose morph it will be more straight forward and i think you forgot to off the avfx layer so it has the edge issue 😀 💯

Maybe the results is less of motion blur. Make it more motion blur in compositing, it more realistic. :)

I'm guessing he animated the cloner end-parameter to go back a bit after the impact to simulate the impact "bounce" and just went back a bit too far.
