Awesome: an event that is remembered many years from now and many times the size of more typical events. E.g. watching a volcano explode, watching a feat of engineering that has never been achieved before and unlikely to be beaten soon (e.g. The Bloodhound supersonic car). Extremely rare, sometimes leaving euphoric feelings, sometimes traumatic. Term sadly abused daily for overinflated statements.
Very good: Perfectly satisfactory, but somewhat forgettable in two weeks time. Very common.
Artisan: Excellence achieved everyday that lasts for decades. One of a kind! Appreciated by all who receive it. (E.g. “Those Ring floodlights are Artisan!”)

Woodgate. Most of us keyboard warriors only wanted to raise the potential problem, not attack. The video didn't provide close enough shots to know if it had risked structural damage, only that there was a good chance of it. We don't have x-ray vision :(
Some of us live in countries where everything (new and old) are built with wood. We're more used to it. We'd not have a clue with full brick that's seems all too common in the UK.
Props to you for acknowledging it and getting someone to check it.
RUclips documentation of jobs is a double edged sword, shows great work, but shows questionable work..

11:44 Speaks well for Artisan at least finding out, bravo sir. Great sign of a great company to fess up. While I am just a guy in the USA, we have mostly stick based construction, so when you see any of it being cut out or large holes cut through, its cringe worthy. They have to use double/triple/quad studs to help support the point loads, and for sure around the corners and windows. I am sure there is enough safety factor there, that maybe just a metal plate joining all the studs together might be enough to offset any loss in capacity. That would also allow to safely cover it all as well to prevent drilling through the cable or nails into it.

best bet in such case is to drill a hole in the middle of the beam, usually not a problem

Good to see you didn't buy another EV, although what does that say about the EV vans currently available when an EV specialist still turns to diesel? Well done for listening to joiners in the comments, and you should be commended for the way you are dealing with it.

The wood issue didn't make me cringe, structure is always over specified, chipping out an inch of an 8 inch stud (with multiple studs to either side!) really didn't concern me. In any case, well done for checking it out and, if needed, making it right. The thing in that video that made me reel was the cutting out of the airtight/vapour membrane, and not putting it back with proper adhesive sealing tape; not only is it killing the air tightness of the dwelling, but it could cause a condensation/mould risk.

It wouldn't have weakened it much it's the question of how much leeway was built into the frame I know of one company who just builds the frames to just speck with no leeway as he said the developer won't pay for any extra so if something like that happened you'd have a big repair job on but that frame looked well built

At times it appears foremost is your finish while it comes across as the secondary concern is abiding by regulations and I think in this instance it's caught your team off guard. I don't expect anyone to know all of them hell I don't but like anyone I would hope people ask someone more experienced if they find themselves uncertain in a situation.
Fingers crossed it wasn't structural and great job for holding hands up and getting someone involved to make sure.
It does go to show though, electricians need building competence, knowledge of carpet fitting, plumbing and heating systems if they're tasked with that and a vast array of other skills and knowledge that aren't always used but are often life savers.
