It's a fun game
You can grab your opponents with e or q as well and bludgeon them. My favorite thing to do

Oh yeah its real. In real life they'd flail around! So realism!
Some of the things are realistic, the fact that armour means something, where you attack can insta kill or just bounce off. The animations are goofy but if you master the swinging and not like my flailing but you can emulate how a real person would swing. I have seen some clips of people who are good, Make the game look good

'Kingdom Come: Deliverance' is a story driven open world 1st person RPG set in late medieval Bohemia, focused on realism, it has issues that never got fixed but despite that it's the best game ever for me.
Part 2 was just recently announced for release on February 11th, so you can wait for that or maybe pick up the first one for cheap somewhere, I don't know.
'Exanima' is a weird thing, it's in early access for over ten years, I think.
It's supposed to be a pathway to some extremely ambitious open world game.
At the moment it has a more or less rogue-like (very brutal) dungeon mode and an arena mode where you can practice the very unique 3rd person physics based combat style but it's more than that, as you can build up a tournament fighting company.
Both games have quite extensive armour systems.
You will find countless videos for both, if you want to have a closer look.
Reminds me of We Who Are About to Die, but with different physics.

@@Nuggz1 yeah I liked it alot. It was pretty hyped for alittle while but then died down. Seems very similar to this one, look at some youtube videos you will see what its all about.

I think this is still just a playtest. Don't know about the future, but it looks promising!
It's nowhere near as good without the gore
I believe the gore is just not a thing in this playtest
