Enstien is likely moulting. Birds do this end of July/august. When they do it the loss of feathers mean they can’t fly as well or fast, so they hide from predators and rest in trees. Once he has his lovely new feathers he’ll b back!❤
Oh my, one of my cans has a knobbly bit! I thought it was to hold with your hand to make pouring more steady…well blow me down! Now I won’t lose my can hose, thank you. Have a lovely holiday. (PS: I despise an unruly gladiolus 🤨)
I would save the 3 archers until next year. No point in them being out over winter unless you really need them. What a lovely plot friend. Have a great holiday
I have canned 63 pints of tomatoes so far this season with lots more to come. This includes salsa, spaghetti sauce, and diced tomatoes. Enjoy your holiday.
I too had wondered what that bump on the watering can was. Something to do with the moulding. So sensible, you can go on holiday knowing that the world is saved Emma! ;-)
I spend half my time at the plot hunting for misplaced tools and watering roses too. My mind is officially 🤯 blown with the watering can and rose hack!
The Range are selling some Wilco branded stuff in the gardening department. Just back from a visit to my watering can and the news is not good , knobless. Have a lovely holiday Emma and all the family . Now I'm off to visit Dora's allotment, someone said she has a new robin .
Have a great holiday xx For the archway, you could shorten (make it smaller) and use it to support some flowers or smaller climbing plants, and use the remaining poles as sticks lol..... Just an idea, whatever you do, continue having fun xx
Gladioli can be supported with a few sticks long enough to reach the top, then weave a chord or string back and forth so the glads are upright. Individual sticks tend to flop over with wind and weight.
I've had beautiful cherry tomatoes , not loads of them but each one has been a burst of flavour ...so much better than shop bought . Have a lovely holiday 😊
I have two spray heads for my watering can, one with a finer spray than the other, I always leave the head I use most on the spout the other on the nobble bit. Or I leave one of the spray heads in the shed the other on the nobly bit when watering using the spout. My tomato plants are full of green tomato’s but only two have turned red so far this year.
Another great vlog Emma I hope you enjoy your holiday I myself went to Cardiff for two days hours on the beach kids and hubby enjoyed it so go on give yourself a break hun and don't worry about us we will still be here when you come back and vlog again ❤
Hi Emma, just watching an earlier video and don't know if you'll see this, anyway, it's best to feed hedgehogs kitten biscuits as hedgehog 'food' isn't regulated and usually contains stuff they shouldn't be eating. It brings tears to my eyes your relationship with Einstein, so sweet x
Fantastisch Good work Emmas you the best te moostuin te water te planting stoks bamboe Tomatoes te House bloems thans te video Good weekend grootjes the zon 🪜✌️😎⛱️🍹🌤💐🪴😅🐈⬛🥔🍅🌿
Hi Emma, I was just thinking about your gladioli dilemma. We don’t grow them, but I do sow lots of Zinnias for cutting and they get top heavy and prone to topple over, as well. The last couple of years, I’ve hammered in four stakes/canes (6 if I can find them) to create a rectangular space for planting. Then I fix jute mesh, with big 3” holes, horizontally over the posts and tie them on, about 16-18” off the ground. The mesh needs to be reasonably taut, but the Zinnias grow up through the holes and it supports them really well. I reckon that would support your Gladis too. Just a thought. Might be worth considering for next year. Have a well-deserved break.
Hi Emma hope you’re doing well I love growing tomatoes and this year I reap nothing no tomatoes at all kept trying but still nothing so at least you got something wishing is very good, I hope you have a wonderful holiday and hope everything stay healthy until you return ❤❤
Greetings Emma really enjoy your Vlogs and have watched them all, got my first allotment this year and although getting to grips with it quite quickly I'm still baffled by the Early, second early etc etc potato growing thing. Could you possibly do a short piece in one of your Vlogs explaining the basics of this and when you plant out? It would be much appreciated and get me better clued up for next year. Thanks in advance.
Off on hols..... do enjoy....... You will have issues after a week away, but you know that and are prepared. I think, you are arriving at the place were you understand that..... The sole objective of any garden is to hand out pain and pleasure in roughly equal proportion, However as gardeners, the the pleasure always out weighs the pain by a "country mile" it´s why we do it.
Alas my can is so old it doesn’t have a nobbly bit 😢.Despite my superhuman efforts my Gladioli have managed to escape from their trussed up supports and fallen over ☹️Have a lovely holiday and l’m sure your allotted will still be there when you get back 😊
oooooh, I thought you might be leaving in order to stay in one piece 😬 A vacation is a much better reason, not nearly as disruptive. Please come back safe to us
Okay so I’ve had some advice given to me and I thought I would share with everyone to get rid of ants i myself have successfully removed with this equal parts sugar and bicarb mix together and put in the area of ants the ants will get confused and take it back to the nest and they will be gone and slugs now this I haven’t tried yet but in the greenhouse or whatever you use to grow the seedlings place a rough old towel onto the shelf make sure to have a little extra to over hang they don’t like it and apparently it works in the beds if cut in to strips and wrap around at a little distance I am definitely going to try this one slugs have eaten everything so far

Well you struggled to keep your pea structure from falling down using long sticks and string so why not use one or two of the gifted arches for your peas next year? Have a great holiday!
I recently started helping a woman at her allotment and her neighbor is.... Quite strange.. the first time I met him he was all like "who are you?? What are you doing here?" And then switched to "oh you're pretty though" and then watched we the whole time I was working and later said "I really like your pants" ugh. Next time I see him and he says anything I will tell him immediately that he has to stop commenting on my appearance. It makes me so uncomfortable, so I worry there may be an argument between us in the future... I hope I can avoid him most of the time..
Does anybody ask their neighbour plot holders anymore if they could do some occasionally watering etcetera? And my 2 litres watering can hasn't got this knobby bit. so still keep mislaying the sprinkler bit.
I’m 64 years old and been gardening for years and didn’t have a clue about the knobbly bit, every days a school day…Thanks for sharing 😊

I've just bought one of these and didn't know what the nobbly bit was for. Thanks for the info 😊
I have canned 63 pints of tomatoes so far this season with lots more to come. This includes salsa, spaghetti sauce, and diced tomatoes. Enjoy your holiday.
I’d love you to keep some cat treats in your shed for Rocky!
Yes I always thought the same wish she would give him some food for a treat,,I'm feeding three strays myself feel so sorry for them
I’ve just dashed out to the garden to check, I don’t have a Knobbly bit, damn!
I too had wondered what that bump on the watering can was. Something to do with the moulding. So sensible, you can go on holiday knowing that the world is saved Emma! ;-)

You are not alone Emma and I’ve had an allotment for 30 years.

Enjoy your holidays well deserved. Going to check my knobby bit on my watering can. Looks the same as yours but have never noticed nobbly bit....😂
Have a lovely holiday with your family, making happy memories.xx
Have a good holiday and take care to you and family.
you could use the arches to create more permanent support for the berry bushes at the back!
.....there,s always a stick. You made my day !! 🤣Have a very happy holiday.
Enjoy your holiday break. Thanx for the tips and tricks with planting potatoes❤❤

I'm so excited about our tomatoes. I've dotted them everywhere this year. The greenhouse ones are triffids, it's bonkers😊😊😊😊😅

You are so lucky wish someone would give me archways, cant find them in my country and so expensive to import, you have been blessed.

I have never ever came across a water can with a nobble like that. Its super cool
You can place sticks in a cross in front of plants to support them when they start drooping
Thankyou❤ and have a lovely holiday, best wishes xxx

Charlottes and other 1st and 2nd early potatoes dont require earthing up Emma, they grow on one level as opposed to main crop.
Is it just me or did everyone immediately go to check their watering can to see if they also have a nobbly bit on their watering can lol.. I do not 😞
I did, no nobbly bit 😢
I did not check as I know mine has one which I use regularly to put the spray head on when watering by the spout.
None of mine do, makes me sad
Mine doesn’t either, really want one though
Alas my can is so old it doesn’t have a nobbly bit 😢.Despite my superhuman efforts my Gladioli have managed to escape from their trussed up supports and fallen over ☹️Have a lovely holiday and l’m sure your allotted will still be there when you get back 😊
I have tools with bright pink handles just so I don’t loose them 😆

I use steel spirals to hold my Gladioli up 🌀

The Range sells Wilkos seeds🌿
Hi. Can you please share your homemade seaweed feed?
😅😅 that's funny no your not alone 😅
I thought pathway at back
Would one of your friends water for you while you are away?
All birds go in hiding in hedges and such this time of year to rest and regrow their feathers,I’m sure Einstein will be back one day.
I recently started helping a woman at her allotment and her neighbor is.... Quite strange.. the first time I met him he was all like "who are you?? What are you doing here?" Einstien is prob looking after babies.
What kind of nasturtiums are they at 0.12? 😊
Cant you ask another allotment holder to water your plot while you are away? That’s what we do on our plots, keeps things alive
Oh I hope Einstein comes back
I'm sure I saw Rocky with something in his mouth 😂😂
That was my boot 😅
Einstein is ok, moulting in the undergrowth.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Don’t take this the wrong way but didn’t the rhubarb die? lol rhubarb telepathy was off that day, enjoy your hols.
Yes, you are a vegetable/ plant person of telepathy 😊
👍👍👍❤❤❤
Does anybody ask their neighbour plot holders anymore if they could do some occasionally watering etcetera?
And my 2 litres watering can hasn't got this knobby bit. so still keep mislaying the sprinkler bit.
Hey Emma, I have not seen Einstein since you have your hot air balloon in your allotment . Please take it off so Einstein comes back.
I totally misread the meaning of the title . Thought something had really gone wrong
It's called clickbait, look it up. Lots of you tubers do it..
