This song will always remind me of the day i met Charles Martinet and he told me in the Mario voice "Thank you so much for playing my game!".
I was listening to a remix of this song when I learned my grandfather had passed away. Ever since then it’s held an emotional, melancholy place in my heart. It already had a sense of melancholy to it, but now it’s personal. It’s such a good theme.
This is probably one of the coolest staff rolls in video game history.
Really feels like the end of an adventure.

Still one of my favorite credits sequences in any video game after all these years. The way the music combines with the panoramic shots of the worlds you've visited, it's like the game itself is saying "look how far you've come".
revisiting this song as an adult feels like that too, since this game holds so much nostalgia for many of us. it kind of makes you look back on all of your experiences and things you’ve accomplished in your life since the first time you beat the game when you were just a kid 🥲

I finally beat Super Mario 64 a couple weeks ago. As a Mario fan since 2009-ish, this warms me right up. Here's to another 40 years for our boy 🎉

Now this brings back a lot of good memories. Mario 64 was my first console game, can still remember the giddy rush of setting up the N64 for the first time on our old CRTV, then spending week after week chasing stars and stomping on Bowser's minions. It may not be my favorite game from the 64's lineup, but it'll always have a special place in my heart for those precious memories. Well done indeed Ev.
This reminds me of the speedrun at Awesome Games Done Quick 2024 when CZR did a run using only a drumset for his controls. He ended the run with an awesome drum cover for the credits theme. You brought that similar feeling into this song and I'm endless smiles hearing it. Thank you for all of your incredible work.

All the spoiled modern generation gamers piss and moan about how SM64 "hasn't aged well", but this is still the quintessential 3D Mario platform game to me. Say what you want about the camera, but no other Mario game before or since has granted Mario as wide of a moveset as this game, and Mario's controls have never felt more real than this. This game is pure comfort food, and this song is the cherry on top. Thank you Evelyn for the remix, and happy MAR10 Day!
That game is still my preferred 3D Mario, even after completing Galaxy and Odyssey.
