SEA OF THIEVES
Sea of Thieves is a pirate-themed action-adventure cooperative multiplayer game played from a first-person perspective. The game features cross-platform play between Windows-based personal computers and Xbox One video game consoles. A group of players travel and explore an open world via a pirate ship and assume different roles such as steering, hoisting sails, navigation, and firing cannons. Players embark on quests, collect loot and engage in combat with other players. Sea of Thieves is a shared game world, which means groups of players will encounter each other regularly throughout their adventures. The game has a cartoonish art style and an exaggerated physics engine that allow players to perform stunts, like being shot out of ship cannons.

As a valuable member of the Hunter's Call, I enjoy fishing for a rare fish while my crew fights by themselves against other crews. We may lose our ship and all of our treasure, but at least we got a Snow Wrecker.

Hi! MotherNadi here! I love the order of souls. I tend to vet sunk as a solo slooper if i try gold hoarder or gold voyages. Merchants are ok but the issue of things not spawning ruins voyages for me. My favorate to do is use my ships cannons against skeletons on a beach. Hoopa target practice!!
Sometimes I'll get bored and just go Gung ho straight into a galleon as a solo sloop, think I met some streamers along the way, too. Had Rochelle as a name, (common streamer mode name) full pirate legend gear, etc
Has anyone ever wondered why there is a misterious lady collecting the skulls of long dead pirates? I personaly dont know but she will get every skull I have. Once again you did a great job for this vid. Gt: wonderstorm22
Well it's explained in the books, they take skulls to extract memories out of them. And if I remember correctly they just use those to find valuable treasure.

Pretty sure they smoke them, I caught one of them in 4k while extracting the memories of Briggsy
It's hidden lore, they make you think they're helping find the past and getting memories of past skeletons but in reality they just like smoking

Mercahnt alliance is probably my favorite of the original three. The shipwreck quests are probably one of my favorite in the game and the whole faction is just such a relaxing one to hop on to.

I agree the shipwreck quest is by far the best; easy, quick fairly prophetible.
I don’t know why but I really hate being a merchant unless my friends are online.
TURTLES
Reaper: After conquering the rest of the emissaries, Reaper leaves the most interesting experiences. There's the old "catch and release" when you roll up on a newbie, the enemy reaper who wants nothing but to continue to throw hands, or sinking the odd toxic/racist crew. It's all good fun.

I love gold hoarders because I feel intense lust for gold I just love everything about gold hoarders you have typical pirate treasure hunt and some combat and it feels good when u steal treasure from skeletons as they chase you

I fit perfectly between Order of Souls and Tall Taler
I'll often play with my mother, who loves fishing and cooking meat and so I frequently have to factor in Seapost trips when planning voyages, but we both also like the Merchant's Alliance activities. She doesn't like the shipwrecks as much now that there are sirens, and has trouble picking up the game when we play (we only play every few months or so, plenty of time to forget the controls and mechanics), but it's always nice to mess around and sail through the seas. We've gotten over our fear of megalodons and NPC ships, though krakens still scare us, and the occasional race to find the most treasure when doing an X marks the spot map is fun as well. Neither of us are to pirate legend, nor are we very skilled at PVP, but Sea of Thieves is always a fun thing to do every once in a while.
I actually really liked the Arena as a way to just pvp without worrying about loot or losing, since there were no consequences, so I'd say my favorite faction used to be the Sea Dogs, but now I think it's definitely the Merchants. Sailing is one of my favorite things to do, so doing Cargo Runs is quite fun for me, though sadly it tends to bore my friends so I have to do it when solo slooping or playing with my mother. I've never completed a skeleton fort, but my confidence is waxing and my fear is waning, so I'll probably get around to it soon.

Hunters call is my favorite faction at the moment since i've met awesome people while fishing. That might change with the new athena quests though! (Toomze)

The Athena level cap should be raised tomorrow with the new season. New voyage comes around the end of the season so that should be fun.

Anyone else notice that when talking about gold hoarder, someone raised emissary shown by the ship appearing

When I'm sailing with my friends on the Sea of Thieves we usually go for Reaper emissary. If a ship is after loot we want we will fight them for it, if not, we tend to leave them alone unless they make themselves a problem.

I recently became a pirate legend. I have played sea of theives for a long time, I stopped for a long time because I had terrible memories of some people I thought were my friends. I was terrified to even play the game because there was a small chance of seeing them in the same server as me but then at Christmas I got my dad an xbox and we never stopped playing sea of theives, in only three months we both became legends, it was our goal since we started. We still play sea of thieves together and we often raise the athena emmasary to get to our new goal: to buy everything in the pirate legend stores.

merchant alliance is my favorite because funny number go up. i also quite enjoy hunters call from time to time because fishing may not be the most interesting but exclusively hunting for megs or chasing storms for the big money definitely spices it up a little
I'm a gold hoarder at heart, but once I maxed it out, I decided to become a PL. Once I did that, I decided to max out the main factions. Just got through with Merchants and I have to say you guys have it rough. Lost shipments be buggy as hell. That being said, short voyages and lots of loot to sell makes it worth while!
Now I'm on order of souls and wow, I thought merchants was rough. So much work for 1 piece of loot that barely moves your emissary. Of course, you could do ghost fleets, but those are taxing on supplies for a solo. Does wonders for your aim though. It's gonna be a long grind.
After this, it's reapers. Not sure I'll be able to solo this one, but I don't like playing with randos and no one I know likes the game enough to play woth me consistently. Looks like I'm gonna have to get real good real quick.

I’m definitely the gold hoarder, have something to find on every islands is something that I like. The feeling when the boat is full of gold and having to protect it from other players is a nice feeling to me.

I’m an Athena grinder and I love thieves haven runs. Also the ghost hull with the black pearl sails looks kinda clean. Btw not a toxic Athena’s player, I know it’s hard to believe.

I have a gift in this game where if I take a single glance at the map I can find the chest on my first dig. this would probably make me a gold hoarder.
fast foward a few months, all I care about now is beefing up my logbook. Running emissaries is just a byproduct of that. I'm having too much fun with captaincy stuff lol :D

I’m a hunter and in all honesty that usually means I run from fights so I don’t lose my precious fish

I have 2 modes. Either I'm super sweaty portal hopping reaper or I'm tucked behind mermaids hideaway filling storage crates with pondies.

A proud reaper here, but one with a bit of honor. I always want a fight, and I'll take them where I get them. Having 1000 hours recorded (and counting) I respect new players, and only attack them if they are actively sinking my ship, and even then I warn them stating that they stand no chance. I also avoid sinking the same crew several times. However a toxic crew will see me chasing them without mercy.

As a athena emissary it fun dig over 15 X in thieves heaven and lost 3 brain cels when you don found it
I mostly do athena because is a pain in the ass to level up, my friend and I don't usually engage in combat and normally we avoid them by boarding the ship following us then lowering their anchor and dropping their supply crates into the sea and if we have the time burn their ship, if everything goes correctly we gain time to escape and they are busy just solving their chaos without any kind of confrontation.

I'm a mix of all of them I would like to think, though my perfectionism nature has me pushing to reach maximum completion in commendations for all things. On top of that it also depends on my mood. Some days I like to just fish, others I like the full pirate experience. PVP/PVE days or just going full merchant for that gold rush. But overall I just want to experience the one thing that SoT offers. That freedom to set sail where the wind may take us.
