I'm with meowmeowkitty - this is a fabulous salute to incredible stars, many of whom are no longer with us. Regardless of their age or fashion, their star quality and glamour is intact even among the oldest ladies there. Thank you so much for sharing it, it truly is priceless!
I like your vid clip and I've rated it as awesome. I've done another video clip on some old cigarette cards of 1930's movie stars, including: Luise Rainer , Bing Crosby, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, Clark Gable, Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Greta Garbo,Johnny Weismuller, Gary Cooper and Carole Lombard.
Three possibilities: She was in terrible health, and looked it. She was a three-time Oscar winner in a different league with the likes of Arlene Dahl and Alice Faye. And finally, she just wasn't that desperate for publicity?
It's awesome to have so many legends in one room! It's such a shame I was a small child when this aired! I wonder if I saw it but just don't remember.
I sing about several famous actresses in The Celebrity Song.
"The Way You Look Tonight"
Thank you.... ;-)
Luise Rainer is over 100 yrs. old, that's fantastic! Jane Powell who had that girl next- door quality, has aged so beautifully.
