I am a grad student in counseling. I learned about SFBT in one of my classes. It has really changed my outlook on counseling. It has changed my thoughts about my own depression and anxiety. I cant get enough of your videos. Thank you. I am going to get your book.

I LOVE this. Asking the right question really pulls the client into the process of being their own hero!

I am a new counselor and really have struggled with some clients not making much progress. I have not been using solution focused methods but have been inspired by you to learn this modality and give it a try.

I always prefer to have students focus on a solution instead of the problem. I also give them time at the initial visit to reflect.
But, I like the fact of allowing them to use and identify a certain word to bring on positive change!

Such a simple question, but very impactful. Thank you I am going to use it in session.

Yes! Reimagining their life. Seeing the solution & not the problem.

I Appreciate your subtle approach and conversation style. My dream has forever been to find a way to help me, help others to help themselves. I have been watching sporadically from the sidelines for about 3 months now, I think it’s time to Jump In!
Thank You For being YOU Elliot! 🥺🙏😭🙌

I was reading the SFBT manual and I was falling asleep and having a hard time following. Glad I found your video-- going to give the manual another shot.

Academic reading can be so tedious and long! We're glad the videos can help supplement your reading.

Love this! Thank you - I will definitely add this to my repertoire!! I really like the idea of helping people be focused on what they want rather than what they don't want (but already have!)

What would you like to feel, have or achieve, instead? Got it.👍🏾

Great tips. Once she says what she would like to feel instead, do you discuss how to get there? A question I get a lot is The How? Otherwise, it can feel like just daydreaming about feeling better without an action plan. Thank you for all your info!

I am intrigued with your approach to client empowerment--What would you like to feel instead? If their response suggests to particular interventions, such a teaching about boundaries, or breathwork to calm, how do you proceed?
