This video shows how to unseal Seagate Helium HDD properly with minimal dust. Generally applies to all Seagate Helium hard drives such as #SKYHAWK, #EXOS, BARRACUDA, #BARRACUDA PRO, #IRONWOLF, IRONWOLF PRO etc. It is for educational purposes only and will NOT help you to retrieve data from such drive. These drives have Helium level sensor built in and when you unseal it, Helium will escape. Sensor will sense it and MCU will seize to spinup motor to avoid damages to the drive internals There is a workaround that but its highly guarded know-how. this is nuts lol who designed this crazy thing!!!!!!!!!!so i ripped off the cap cover and just for shits and giggles i plugged it back up and its working !!!!!!!!! i guess all my banging and cussing made the needle loose so i didnt have to take off the top cover... thanks bro for the video

The cover is stir-welded to seal the enclosure so the helium fill doesnt leak out.
