About Roast Battle:
Roast Battle pits two rising comics against each other in an all-out war before a panel of judges including Roastmaster General Jeff Ross. Childhood traumas may be dredged up, and painful divorces might be mocked, but these battles always end in a hug.

Yeah I agree, it's more tasteful for the husband to get burned with no retaliation. Imagine if he really went for it, everyone would have hated on him for burying his wife. Especially after the accredited jobs he was associated with, their set sounded virtually identical he could have helped write both.

You DO realize that what you're describing is a very unhealthy relationship, right? Healthy couples don't dictate where a person can and cannot sleep.
Also they are comedians who agreed to do this together. They knew what they were getting into. No he didn't sleep on the couch that night.

The sound effects and the judges make it so terrible though. Let the audience do their part. If someone is funny it will come out through that, Instead they dropped sound effects for most of her jokes while Joe got nothing but 💩 on..
Yep I certainly don’t believe someone had those noises ready for her jokes. There was no post production and this video came out LIVE. This was ALL REAL. 🤷♂️

I like how he opened with a joke about how he's more successful, but the rest of the roast was her completely owning him. (To be fair, I think it's harder for a husband in this situation to go hard and come out looking funny and not just like a bully, even given the context of a roast.)
They made sure to give her sound effects as well... Which kind of makes it seem even more fake and set-up..

Because a masculine presenting person being aggressive towards a feminine presenting person is generally more likely to be perceived by bystanders as unfair.
