I was born and raised in Grand Marais, I didn’t know what I had as a kid until I moved away after college. My friends and I fished every day when we were kids. I’ll be retiring soon and plan on fishing the big steelhead in Superior, AGAIN!!!

I do every time I go by you. Ask you how many you got. I’ve been running skein out there using your cure method from the previous video, but I watch them on my graph and they come right up to it and don’t bite. Only one I’ve landed on skein was hooked in the side somehow. What’s the trick to bobber fishing out there??

Well. My 23 yr old daughter and her bf are coming up here Oct 1st. I hope the fish are still biting. He caught a knarly pike today. This will be their first salmon experience on the Manistee. I had coho hitting my legs last Monday.
Should be great fishing early October this year with the warm fall!

Just a little trigger happy bro’! Give it a few seconds when the bobber goes under so your bait is swallowed a little deeper in the mouth instead of on the fish’s lips. I think you’ll get more hookups.

Not to tell u ur business but if u want to catch more fish u got to slow that boat way down that's why the first day u didn't catch much . Salmon just like trout really spooky and most places in that river are less than 3ft . U need a 3hp motor or smaller.just think if 50 people aday came up that river like that . This is why alot of people on this river snag because of all the boat traffic it scares the fish
50 or more boats go back and forth multiple times a day in that river😁 Then there are 100’s of kayak and tubers as well. The river traffic is heavy
Salmon season brings out only the best scumbags on the river

What bait-caster reel do you use for you bobber and bead setup and do you know the gear ratio of it?
Good morning.. how many cast do u get out of ur eggs I can only get 4 good cast to the water takes them off I can't catch 50 hens a day. I did everything like u said but they don't last
I can get a lot of good casts in out of a piece of bait doing everything I told you in the video. Try to reel at a medium steady speed back in. If you reel in fast it will tear apart your skein. Try not to slap your skein ball on the water before you cast and while your casting. Work on making nice smooth casts. When you put a piece of bait on your hook, try to cut your bait so you have a chunk of the membrane- that will help hold your skein together. If you’re just using a wad of eggs without the thick membrane in you knot they will fall apart quick.
How do you like the braid on the pin?
Love it for salmon! I don’t run it for steelhead and in cold weather though.
I been wanting to try it for the kings but I’m afraid of it digging in too much like braid likes to do
