Thanks you for sharing this was informative & beautiful fairy like with glitter. I do not see Hummingbirds in NJ except when they migrate thru the city, they hit the glass skyscrapers or fall to the cement, most do not survive. A friend & I rescue songbirds . A recent youtube video shows us in Newark NJ, the video is named ( Volunteers give migrating birds injured in N.J’s biggest city a second chance )' Also TRT made a older video when we first started named ( Window Strikes in the Business District ) of us picking up injured Warblers.
A month ago I attached around 40 different species of epiphytes for hummingbirds (ie Columnea) to the trees at Paraiso Volcano Lodge at the base of Miravalles volcano. Hopefully you will be able to visit this fledgling botanical garden for hummingbirds.
