- Oprah Winfrey is an American talk show host, television producer, actress, author, and philanthropist. She is best known for her talk show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, broadcast from Chicago, which was the highest-rated television program of its kind in history and ran in national syndication for 25 years, from 1986 to 2011.
Winfrey was born into poverty in rural Mississippi to a single teenage mother and later raised in inner-city Milwaukee. She has stated that she was molested during her childhood and early teens and became pregnant at 14; her son was born prematurely and died in infancy. Winfrey was then sent to live with the man she calls her father, Vernon Winfrey, a barber in Nashville, Tennessee, and landed a job in radio while still in high school. By 19, she was a co-anchor for the local evening news. Winfrey's often emotional, extemporaneous delivery eventually led to her transfer to the daytime talk show arena, and after boosting a third-rated local Chicago talk show to first place, she launched her own production company.

Suddenly all the people around me including friends..i stopped talking to them because of some anger in my heart towards one coworker in which that time i was having a hard time dealing with..and it came out that none of them even the people i so called friends cares. And this made me realize..yaz! Oprah is so true. I came out of myself just to do something for others. I forgot that there is ME whom i needed to take good care of the most.
Same thing I was always pleasing everyone and still they made me feel I wasn't enough.but now I have decided to think of me and asyou said care for me.people are just shit man.
@@hiyabielmogos6099 honestly speaking though, there is power in just being alone. The real peace is just surreal. Like all you got to do is to simply love yourself without being selfish, respect your boundaries, your time, your space and all. Love yourself as if there is another you you wish to always be with. And that is a great turn around. Am happy for us seeing the value of such thing. I wish you all the best ahead of your life. 💪
Same thing with me i m always trying to be goood caring others always woory for them but when my time comes there is no one for me . Even once in my colledge my head really hurt s bbut every one step away from me going for fun that time i realise being alone is quite good.. But when u saw other people having fun it quit hurts inside

I’ve always been tolerant and let go of many things that didn’t sit right to me because I never wanted to start a discussion but today I’m going at work and I’m ready to stand up for myself probably for the first time in 1 year that I work here. My mental state is more important than my bosses opinion on me. I really needed this video 💜
You will be spending time with yourself the most, more than anyone in this life, so be true to yourself, make yourself the most important perosn in your life. Please yourself, u don't have to do anything you don't wnt to for the sake of keeping others happy.

I remember an old show years ago on Oprah, I won't get into the details but the woman experienced tragedy and after the tragedy she said "I won't let myself be in a situation that makes me uncomfortable ever again." It's that simple. Other people would be offended not understanding herself but it made perfect sense to me knowing her circumstance. Sometimes you just have to look out for yourself, without deliberately or intentionally or maliciously inflicting pain on someone else. You may find some great judgement or enemies but again sometimes you just have to look after yourself.
Living a life that God approves of is the only one you need to impress with how you lived as a human being...
This one thing changed my life I believe meditation should be a practice we all do on a daily basis to have more energy and feel relaxed, totally changed my life. I really understood what worked for me it became so powerful. I got rid of anxiety, low energy, boosted my self esteem and confidence. Wish you all an amazing

Just amazing...this is so true. It's sad because none of us have ever really had the time to just sit and be with ourselves and our thoughts. The time is now, this pandemic has given otherwise stagnant and stuck lives, the time to discover themselves, to figure out what we all actually want and desire for ourselves. I have been experiencing this. It's wonderful, and I am so happy with myself for once. I actually know what I want. I'm leading with my heart, and intuition. Im actually listening to it for once, and trusting in my own opinions. I would've never known this feeling if it wasn't for the traumas in my life, especially within the last 3 years. We must all harness the power of this time to evolve as individuals, to be the people we were meant to be. I finally love myself and it's completely sincere. I've never felt this before. I want everyone to be able to feel the way I do. Life is short, we have to take control of our lives, and live NOW.
