    My dog has had a habit of lunging on his walks as well. Grant it, he’s 10x smaller and a little Malshi, it still wasn’t fun to go on walks. I purchased a great harness for him and it makes a huge difference. He walks amazing now. When he does want to run, the harness pulls him back and it doesn’t choke or hurt him.

    We use Easy Walk (front clip) harnesses for our two medium sized, high energy dogs. Unlike a back clip harness, it encourages them to walk next to you, rather than pull you, or choke themselves like with a regular collar.
    When I saw the footage of the owner getting dragged, I immediately thought of our harnesses. I’m so glad Victoria was there to advise and guide her, and I hope the situation with these two becomes calmer and much more manageable! 💙

      you are all going down the wrong direction, the tool shouldnt matter, concentrate more on the training, lil bits at a time, no rushing. use food, toys and breed traits to help you. if you dog is getting triggered it needs a different tactic than just purely training to 'not pull'. 'controlling' a dog shouldnt matter if you actually give the dog the skills and training in the first place. i like victoria but she concentrates too much on what a tool can do for you (similar to punishment based trainers) and not what you can do for the dog to help them learn better and allow them to make good choices.

  • @claragpariente
    @claragpariente 2 года назад

    With all due respect, maybe you should think about the size of this kind of dog before having it. This is essentially a puppy, a very young dog, with a very big size you should've count on before having it. He has a lot of energy and strength, I do not consider it good for any age person since they do not qualify for long walks, running, many sports, etc. What did you expect?????
    Now you're talking about leaving him??
    As the human of two dogs, the former lived 16 years and current adopted two weeks ago, I am very aware of my situation, as anyone should: I live in an apartment, so the size has to be small, I have a chronic disease, so the energy of the dog has to match with mine since I don't have plenty, I do not have kids, so I can enjoy the personality of both of my dogs, who didn't and don't stand another dog at home, etc.
    If you're a true dog lover, you will only have him/her as the need to be. This is about what you BOTH need, not just about what you believed you wanted. Selfish people ALL the time. Seriously... That is not responsable.
