Lydia what you’re saying about Black communities abroad is correct - it’s because they are literally less free than Black people in Africa. Black communities aboard are just trying to fit in and they are already characterised as an entire group, so it is almost impossible for Black women to be as free as educated African women, who here, are at the top of the food chain. Black women abroad are at the bottom of the food chain, how will they even have the space or indeed feel empowered enough to be sexually liberated, when they literally aren’t chosen by anyone, including their own Black men?

You guys! I listened to this episode on my way to shags and I was practically breathless, sweating, heart beating...and almost bursting woah! I had to stop at Maguna's to get a cold drink! Daaaaaamn
So as a guy this was a great watch and I hope to bring this home with me. One thing that really hit me was the thought of men not asking for stuff. For me at least I feel like there are at least 2 reasons I have a hard time talking about with my wife (still). First, for whatever reason there is the thought that this may somehow sour the relationship or spill into outside life, like dom stuff, where does that start and end in your life? Second, kind of similar to the first, but what happens when you find out just how far the rabbit hole goes, like what if your partner is way beyond what you are comfortable with and then that leads to resentment or other problems with the relationship?

It’s the same for the black community in America. I’m an AA sex educator who focuses on helping AA women being more open about sex.
Our context has a lot to do with the over sexualization of Black women during slavery and onwards.
So to not be seen as “over sexual” to the white gaze we (AA) combat it by being sexually respectable.
But this also causes sexual repression, homophobia is rampant and religion plays a big role.
There some AA sex educators who are breaking the boundaries and being Black and unapologetically sexual despite the “white gaze”.
Push to help Black women openly talking about enjoying sex without being labeled as whore, jezebel etc
Sex is very conservative in the AA community despite seeing sexual risqué music videos and a few music artists
Is thinking about someone else during sex a kink?
It depends on who that person is. If it's someone who might be talked into a 3some,then there's ya kink but if it's someone else like an ex...then that's
