- Walkthrough of The Sultans Ascend Campaign on hard difficulty from the DLC of the same of name in Age Of Empires 4. This one was really hard for me because of the RNG, the Templars path will significantly impact the difficulty if they can build up a big army around them and always attack your weakest position.

i've been playing the campaign on hard difficulty from the start. i gave up hard difficulty on this mission...
lol I finally got it after like 10 tries it’s such a tilting mission. The AI is actually really sneaky so keep your spears out of fights with archers even if you charge with you’re horses first they aim for your spears so hold them back.Same with cav against spears. The AI cavalry doesn’t really target your archers so you can bring in their APMtoo all fights just kite them when necessary
Oh another thing preferably before the templars get out, dispatch some cav with the cav hero and take the top Two spots. Make sure you don’t engage them with the red units (run away when they’re coming… wait for them to pass then boom take that circle). Hope this helps GL!
