after watching your video's here in oz i am doing a ford fg falcon turbo barra with a zf 8hp26 in a e90 320i msport running a tuned factory barra ecu the engine is 1 inch longer than the n52 when i get it finished i will send you some pics cheers from down under

No cruise with Holley out of the box I should have included that in the lost functionality. There are aftermarket options like Dakota Digital that have dbw cruse part available.

My personal 335i has a procharger on it, some others have used LSA units with the factory LSA accessory drive. If you have plans to use one, I suggest you be very handy with problem solving and making random parts work together

Great video. Thanks much. One question I have. Have you fit up some decent sized headers? The one car I saw on here was running stock manifolds and your car is running manifolds for turbo but I would like to know if 1 7/8" and 2" primary headers fit and work in the bay? My goal is 7.0 liter+ NA motor, it would be a big loss in power to run factory exhaust manifolds for such a big motor.
Currently only Cx Racing mid length headers fit these cars. Mike had plans to figure out some longtubes but it’s not something easily replicable so it’s most likely going to be a one off set on the 1 series.
Not sure if you missed some of the videos, but we use the stock diff in 90% of our stuff, Mike sells an adapter to go from a 4 bolt companion flange to the stock bmw diff. www.lse90.com

My parts list is missing the guibo adapter for the 2006 330i... I have the budget for everything, as the car has been sitting since 2019 collecting dust becuase of a bad tranny... Also, I need deatil on a 5.3 4l60 automatic transmission install with the tutorial. Too many variables before investment. I can't just throw money out there and have my car sit longer because I think I can follow your videos but I can't. Lastly,I believe an LS swappers & n52/n54 builders, are your target audience. Noobs like me that have money to invest in a project like this are people who don't know anything. ...Becuase those other two categories, are more experienced builders who are on bigger and better chasis. Not fanboiis like me, that are noobs, inexperienced, and have an e90.
I dont remember which video it was in, but you guys talked about the air conditioning not functioning or something like that. Did you ever get a fix for that?
A/c functions perfectly fine, the easiest way to make that work is using Fbody (98-02) accessories and the factory Fbody a/c compressor, bracket and manifold, with that you can cut the soft lines on the Fbody manifold and adapt it to the bmw lines, then wire the pressure sensor to the Holley I/O and Mikes can box keeps the interior a/c button working.
@@lse90garage would it be largely the same if I'm using a junkyard LM7 instead? I live in a place where trucks are infinitely more available than sports cars. Just use the accessories and drives and whatnot from the truck motor?
@@code_red_9187 there’s more fab work that you’ll need to do to make the truck compressor work, the lines on the Fbody one come out the back, on the truck it’s on the side, causing some issues with frame clearance, but if you’re good with a tig you can make it work.
The way we explain it to ppl is that the Fbody setup is the easiest and the most straightforward, others will work as long as you have the skills to cut some things up.

The S65 isn’t the most reliable BMW engine. They didn’t have oil leaks like the N54 did but they have rod bearing problems. Any LS engine is more reliable than the BMW S65. The problem with the BMW engine is reliability.
Mike said he thinks ppl have swapped the older ones successfully but with them being so hard to find not many ppl have come forward with questions or a swap.
That's a bit of a new question. My suggestion would be to look up the wiring diagrams on new tis to compare and also confirm that the subframe is the same

Mike sells X drive mounts as well, so you can keep the xdrive cradle if you like

The key fob and CAS system still works like normal to start the car so yes you’ll need a matching CAS and key

Whats the weight difference once you swap from a N54 to a 6.0 iron block?
Iron block LS, prob 100lbs, if you go aluminum it actually improves the weight distribution.
