- Sorry for the lack up uploads recently, I was going through finals for school. I will be at the Holley LS Fest West this weekend so I hope I can see many of you there!
My last brake pads were not performing well so I got the Hawk Performance Ceramic Brake Pads.

Get yourself a couple of scrap pieces of 2x6 or 2x8 lumber & drive your front wheels up on them - it will give you enough clearance for the jack.

Loved the video 👍 Love putting brakes on newer vehicles . Hate doing old cars with drum brakes a pain to get the drums off . Disc brakes are the easiest to change plus they stop so much better

Have fun at LS Fest and be safe getting to and from, parts of that 2 lane to Kingman are sketch sometimes because of bad drivers, or should I say, steering wheel holders, calling them drivers would be a compliment.

Weather is getting warmer here definitely inspired me to rework my brakes
when u loosen your wheels put the wrench on the other side of the lug nut at 9 o"clock and push down with your weight ....not lift up with your back...as seen at 1:50 and when u put the wheel back on put the wrench at 3 o"clock and push down with your weight..... we dont need a broken kayla

Take those silly side skirts off, they don't help performance, and make it hard to jack up your car. Maybe paint the center hubs, so they won't rust. I'm impressed, you're working on the brakes.

The pad ears also should be greased, but only after they are cleaned and the corresponding mating surface on the caliper cleaned as well.
did you open the bleeder valve when pushing in your cailper ? you can mess up your abs if you dont i... learned the hard way my car skidded everywhere ...... watch......the most important step before performing any break job
to push out the pins....you use a tool thingy.....that the correct term according to raquel....get it right ...lol !

Dremel and wire wheel in place of the brushes. It’s faster and more thorough. Also wear a N95 mask when brushing off brake dust, rust, or dirt from the pins, spring clips, hubs, and studs. The metal and silicon particulates are not good for your respiratory system.

Buy a cordless impact gun like Milwaukee or Dewalt. Makes removing tires a breeze. You won’t have to use your torque wrench anymore to take off your lug nuts. Great video. You’re a stud!!!

How much better are those hawk pads stopping ? And do they make any kind of noise while braking? My car has such shitty brakes an it’s practically brand new still it’s not a super fast car or anything but my brakes are trash an I was gonna try the hawk pads before I spend lots of money on a caliper upgrade

It always blew my mind how come can you make your finger nails so clean and not broken out. I am just curious hahahahaha.
I don’t know how I do it either. Just wash hands a lot in between. Plus my nails are dipped, not painted so they don’t chip as easily.
When you Jack your car up drive it on blocks of wood first to save your side skirts.
Get a Miluakee impact 1/2” save yourself the hassle taking lugs off
