I saw a video on them and they grew up in the circus world together as kids, and he always loved her, but she saw him as a little boy and kept pushing him away. Then one day BAM, she started noticing him getting some attention from others, and then she really started looking at him as they grew up, she said she was 3 years older than he was , and when they were little it was a bigger deal, so now they are married, and I do not know how many kids they have, but it's at least one. They are so expressive on and off stage, and it does come thru in their performance, their looks, their passion all combines into a very entertaining part of the show TOTEM.
Not only are they amazing, but this performance was filmed so well. The lighting was great, and that top down shot with Denise spinning into oblivion, the beaded strings on her belt whirling....just breathtaking!
I saw them when they came to my hometown. They all blew me and my mom away! She freaked out when these two came onto the stage. But we especially loved it when our friend, ShanDien Sonwai LaRance, the hoopdancer, came onto the stage!! :D
My goodness!! When she was spinning around like that just by her neck, well, my jaw fell to the floor!! lol! It has been a long standing dream of mine to go see Cirque Du Soleil! They are all truly amazingly talented people! Truly awe inspiring! One day I will go! Queen's reaction says it all :D
This was soooo beautiful! You can just feel the love and intimacy between these two. It must be wonderful to share such love, and be able to perform and express it in such a talented way for others to see and appreciate. I wish them well. I wish I could see their child. I wonder if their child will follow in their footsteps.
