    I love the Montreal Metro. One of the finest systems in North America.

      Never been to other North American cities, but what I've heard from friends who live in other major cities, it seems Montreal has a very good metro system. I used it about a year, and apart from time to time the service gets stopped but still good.

    Literally the only thing I wish these amazing AZUR trains have but don’t have. Is led ambient lighting. Same to the stations.

      And AC system

    • @redphone1438
      @redphone1438 4 года назад +2

      lol2929 apparently according to a STM video, it’s physically impossible to have AC in the trains because of the structure of the system.

      That's a very good observation.
      Ambient light can be done.
      Would be huge improvement

      i) Azur's interior lighting will become ambient soon enough once it become apparent that its operators couldn't give a toss about its build-up of grime ii) on-board air con would overheat the mostly-deep underground, you see

    This looks very similar to the Paris metro, very European, compared to the Toronto subway which seems more like other North American systems.

      Well it was made by Bombardier and Alsthom. Now that Alsthom bought Bmbdr they use the same design for the new Paris metro. Same design, same workers who are used to it so less time consuming. Good cooperation between France and Quebec.

    Bay Champlain (the St Lawrence's, i.e.) here now either graced or blighted by its Expo-Expressive replacement: ruclips.net/video/LwTQ4RwgctQ/видео.html ;)

      c’est la designation pour l’orientation, un nom. La ligne est la ligne orange. En les autre parte du monde ils prent les numeros pour la ligne, comme à Francfort ou Berlin. À Lisbonne, les linhas ont noms comme „Linha Vermelha“ ou „Linha Verde“.

    Je suis content que la police de Montréal réprime la mendicité dans le métro ! Les gens ne s'attendent pas à être harcelés par des étrangers pour de l'argent.

    Alsthom font les mêmes métros pour Paris. Maintenant qu'ils ont acheté Bombardier ils en profitent.

      N’importe quoi c’est Alstom qui a lancé ça en premier dans les années 50 et le métro de Montréal s’est basé sur le MP59 mis en service au début des années 60. La seule chose d’Alstom sur le MPM10 sont les bogies avec le système de traction sinon le reste c’est du bombardier

    The third busiest station is Toronto not Montreal.
