How unfortunate is it that I love horror and scary things but hate actually being scared? I'd love to go but I'm afraid I'd have my head buried in my sleeve the whole time.
KolonaRulez I felt this way also! Then I finally went & loved it! I went to Hollywood horror nights last year, just seeing the scary stories I adore come to life is amazing.
I will go out on a limb and say Orlando is vastly superior to Hollywood. I think the use of original houses has a lot to do with it. Jack is the best. I wear my You don’t know Jack shirt every year and people always ask about it.
I think it has to do with management being able to have more leeway with what they want the house to be. Hill house was basically like the show without the drama, Beetlejuice was accurate af, Texas chainsaw had some play with it but pretty much accurate. All of the original houses were better to me because it seemed like they put more effort in the environment. I have just gone this year so I can imagine other years at Orlando.
Btw icons and puppet theatre were my favorites. Icons had the great theming and detail throughout and made me go back and watch videos of years before. Caretaker had me going there for a minute and he was on the throne at the end. Puppet theater was just a great time walking through it. Theme and the way the house pulled you into the story was top notch. I would love to come back next year.
I love the thumbnail drawing, it's so cool seeing all the characters together. I especially like how Cindy looks less like a demonic child and more of an innocent little girl posing for a picture with her Daddy and his friends.
I remember sitting on my computer during the summer of 2009, just reading the wiki page on HHN and scaring the bejeezus out of myself. It's nice to get the history of these Icons. Great work again, dude!
One thing I always loved about the event was the heavy use of marketing each year. I don't watch much TV anymore, but I loved a lot of the commercials that played through the 2000s. My top favorite was the HHN 14 commercial, simply because _that flacking bodybag creeped me out so much._ I actually thought it was really cool :3

ya know, if someone like Universal made an entire park with various houses, rides, shows, horror-themed coasters, etc, it would be insanely popular. With a full theme park budget, they could seriously make the most detailed, innovative, immersive, and scariest attractions in the entire world, hands down. It would be a pretty one-of-a-kind thing as well; no one else has yet to dedicate the time and money needed to do a full horror theme park. I mean, you see how damn well they build their stuff now with just temporary sets, so imagine what they could do with an entire permanent theme park. If U was able to get the money to do that, we'd have a park full of scares that would surpass the current scares taking place temporarily in ride queues and such by a big margin. Imagine how great it would be if U was able to build totally permanent, top-quality show buildings with the express intent of it being as scary as possible, no questions asked. They'd kill that (pun intended). I am super glad the new park has a whole land dedicated to the classic U horror movies for sure. If that goes well for them, I'd be surprised if they *didn't* float the idea of doing a full on horror park. Maybe some day we will see that happen!

I would love to see them do a HHN of horror video game like silent hill, dead space, house of the dead, resident evil.
ya know, if someone like Universal made an entire park with various houses, rides, shows, horror-themed coasters, etc, it would be insanely popular.
I have never been to Halloween Horror Nights, but I'm currently saving money to go.
Jack will come back to HHN 30th Anniversary
Here comes the clown man!
I hope,
Nikita Valantasis I just have a feeling their gonna bring back all the icons
Well then I guess they’ll have to sandwich two horror nights into one 30 and 31
New HHN ip: **exist**

Love these! Next one please!
I was in the first year of body collectors. It was so much fun. I was a worker ( the characters with our mouths sown shut.)
Have you been back since?
sadly no. either been working when auditions/ season starts. Or not selected for a role. But is was a great time. except when i got an ear infection. (going from a sweltering hot house to the cold air really did a number on a lot of us scare actors)
Looks like a picture of the Wolfe brothers doing their thing.
Curious what they'll do for HHN 30, concerning the Terra Queen. Great video, btw. Learned some stuff I didn't know.
I doubt she will be back honestly.
I definitely don't see them making her the icon, but I could see her being part of a house.
What if HHN had licensed icons?
They did eventually. Freddy, Leatherface, Jason, etc. were all used with permission from their film creators & studio directors.
EXCITING EXCITING EXCITING!!!
Re-watching this nearly a year later to prep for HHN!
1 more year until the Terra Queen returns...
