    Hey mate awesome review, can you plz confirm whether it needs wifi to chromecast videos or stream videos etc? can i use a mobile hotspot when outdoors to cast? Thanks

    • @PocNetwork
      @PocNetwork  2 года назад +1

      Chromecast is device to device and no WiFi is needed for the projector. However, your phone would need a connection to stream if the content is online. If the content is downloaded/saved to the phone (locally), then no internet connection would be needed for either. Also, you can use your phone's hotspot to provide WiFi to the projector as long as your phone supports this -- James H.

    does this support bluetooth headphones and if so, what is the latency like? Does it synchronise the image or something similar?

    • @PocNetwork
      @PocNetwork  2 года назад

      Yes, you can connect Bluetooth headphones via the accessories option in settings. The latency is undetectable unless what you're watching has bad editing. A RUclips video may or may not be in sync because of this, where a movie comes in flawlessly. At least as far as the human eye can tell. -- Ryan S.

    on the website it says Compatible Resolution 2K/4K what is meant by this. Can this projector then project 4K ? if hooked up to my PS5

    • @PocNetwork
      @PocNetwork  2 года назад +7

      This can only display in 1080p. Many manufacturers like to say "compatible" or "capable of playing" 4K, but they are simply (albeit, covertly) referring to the ability to open and smoothly play 4K source files (without skipping, etc). In otherward, the hardware is fast enough to open and play. However, the end result will still be 1080p since this is the max-displayable resolution of the projector itself. -- Ryan S.

    The reason I'm planning to buy this is because we're going camping where there is no internet or phone signal. Would I be able to screen mirror my phone which is a Galaxy Fold 3 to this Halo+ and play all my downloaded shows and movies from Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, or Netflix? If yes, how do I screen mirror without wifi connection or any signal of sort? Would USB C to HDMI work?

    • @PocNetwork
      @PocNetwork  2 года назад +1

      You can cast your screen to the projector without Wi-Fi as this creates a direct connection between the two devices. You can also go USB-C to HDMI if your phone supports sending video from USB-C. You can also load all of your files onto a USB stick, and play them from there. This saving the battery on your phone some. -- Ryan S.

    3 qus
    1. is the remote bluetooth? or ir..
    2. is there any option by which it can turn on automatically after it get power on from the switch board?
    3. does it automatically shift/adjust focus and make the projection blur while watching movies , like mi youth v2

    • @PocNetwork
      @PocNetwork  2 года назад

      1) The remote is Bluetooth
      2) Theoretically this may be possible, but not normal-user-friendly as it would involve Android ADB commands. None of which we have tested on this specific model. Google Assistant only has access to casting and volume, so that wouldn't be an option using automations.
      3) We have never seen it adjust itself during video playback. It should only adjust itself when you first turn it on or you move it. If you bump into it while watching your movie, it will adjust itself.

      @@PocNetwork 2. in mi projector 2 it has an option to turn on when the switch on but its only in chinise version.. as I am a lazy person, i have made full automation via alexa echo.. set an routine called "movie time" which has appx 16 commands.
      as the remote is bluetooth it cant be controlled via alexa or broadlink universal remote. thats the issue. issue of laziness
      :P
      3. in mi projector it does not shows up.. like watching a movie will not make u feel any thing but watch the movie for 30 mins and just go to settings or like the home page.. and it shows blurrness and i have to refocus again.. mostly happens when connected to my pc.

    • @PocNetwork
      @PocNetwork  2 года назад +1

      @@koushiktykoon1385 2) This is correct. Bluetooth remotes are nice because they don't have to be close and pointed directly at the device. However, yes you lose the ability to make use of IR blasters to automate things.
      3) That is quite unfortunate. Almost as if that projector has a lazy eye that slowly loses focus on its target over time. We have not seen this in the Halo and we have spent a pretty good amount of time playing with it and continue to do so.

    Can you add a battery pack to it

    • @PocNetwork
      @PocNetwork  5 часов назад

      It already has a battery built-in. But technically, if you had a battery solution that was capable of driving the wattage requirements of the projector via an Edison outlet on the battery, then yes. If not, it wouldn't power the projector and would simply (slowly) charge its internal battery at best. You'd likely be looking at an external battery you'd typically use for camping that could power things like a TV and other accessories. Unless you already have one, that could get expensive quickly. -- Ryan S.

    This projector gets the job done pretty well. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxS9P8zTOcmQg-hH0QeUi3dspOLyYgQ6dH Bear in mind it's a mini projector but all things considered the picture quality is pretty good. The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.
