Oh does this remind me of my times on my 58 Venom Sports as I used it through the mid 60's. That healthy Venom purr at 70 and 80's in top, Thank you for this, I'll watch it again and again. By the way why is there no nacelle over the headlamp?
This bike has evolved over the 50+ years I've had it. It was originally a 350 with a big alloy tank, solo seat, clip ons, alloy mudguards and a pale blue frame. Hideous. It is no way original but it looks right and goes very well. It now has a 581 VMT twin plugged squish headed engine from Kevin Thurston with programmable Trispark ignition breathing through a 38mm Amal Smoothbore to an absorption type silencer.Thurston belt primary and clutch in a Christof Axtmann alloy case, Quaife 5 speed box and stopped by a 230mm 4ls Grimeca front brake. Rear suspension is bespoke by Maxton. There are a huge amount of home made parts and mods that have evolved over the past 260000 miles.
One of my favourite stretches of road on a venom in the late 50's early 60's.
I did that run on my mk 2 clubman velocette few Yr ago, brilliant mate 👍 👏
