Tones take me back to 1992-3 grunge and alt rock, very cool

This was my main distortion from 2007-2012 until I got my 1st tube amp. A few years later I revisited it and put it through my tube amp and loved it again. Still use it here and there. I always say it's the DS1, with the mids it lacks and without the buzzsaw harsh top end. It is absolutely fantastic.

Just subscribed! What a thick/sick tone your getting out of the DS-2 and going into a clean amp too boot! Like you...I'm Not a huge fan of the DS-1 either. Have kind of moved on from them, but you sold me on the DS-2....a vintage one is incoming as we speak. Cheer man....great video!!!

This is the sound of a generation. It changed the game. This is Nirvana in a box, literally.

I believe he was fonder of the BD-2. At least from what I've read.

The sound of this pedal set at low gain is UNREAL - Tone 9oclock Dist at 9 also. Mode 1. So good. Its my new dirty clean.

P.S. I've noted that DS2 can vary in tone from year to year. I have a May 1990 model. Does the Nirvana thing. I decided I'd buy another (Nov 1990) and it wasn't the same at all, it did not do the Nirvana thing, I sold it on.

The DS-1, used conservatively, is great for adding colour to an already Distorted amp. The DS-2 can do everything.

DS-2 works well as a solo boost on dirty amp. I usually keep the distortion at 10 or 11 o’clock and turbo mode on 2nd position.

A DS-2 when Turbo mode is not engaged is a DS-1. Makes me wonder if your DS-1 had an issue or just wasn’t representative of the model.

Yeah this was my initial thought as well but to my ears they sound a world apart when the turbo mode is off.

My DS1 and DS2 also sound different in normal mode, might be the same idea but some components somewhere must be different

Thats a myth, normal mode is not a Ds1
