So a little detail in the movie you got wrong is about how the codex works. It's established that when the host DIES and the symbiote revives them, the codex is formed. Eddie died when he got stabbed in the first movie. They stay consistent with the symbiotes healing people near death, Eddie is the only character who died only to be brought back by the symbiote.
That makes sense, my head cannon for this was that there can only be one Codex at a time since, if there wasn’t, there’s an infinite amount of Codex’s for Knull to grab and break free with across the multiverse.
I think that’s part of the problem I tend to believe they are very much aware of that fact but I think their singular focus is doing whatever possible to hold onto the Spider-Man license and not caring so much about how the film itself turns out It’s a game of time not money for them, as long as they meet that deadline to release a Spider-man related film then that’s all that matters
I didn't realise this was a Spiderman movie. People would say it was good if there was Spiderman in it. Thing is it's already good peoples expectations for movies these days are way to high.
Casual fan here. I feel like that plane would’ve been fine. They usually can fly with one turbine down. What I don’t like is killing off every symboite as soon as you introduce them. I think Eddie's universe may get destroyed. He goes to the mcu, and he gets the symbiote back. He runs into spider-man, and they fight throughout the beginning. But eventually, team up to fight knull. Peter gets badly injured in secret wars, gets the symbiote, it heals him and that's how we get Black suited Spiderman.

Hell NAW. Make Eddie a VARIANT with Blond Hair. You can keep Tom Hardy but BUT THIS version of the character. Kang and Deadpiol already showed us that Variants can have the same face but DIFFERENT personsalities Tom Hardy has AMAZING acting chops to pull off a DIFFERENT version if the character

Blaming Venom as the reason Anne broke up with Eddie, you do remember that was entirely Eddie’s fault right? Happened way before Venom entered the scene, in Let There Be Carnage there were multiple scenes where Venom brought that up.

The thing that bugged me the most that nobody is talking about is how awfully edited this movie is. It's not even a finished movie. The last 2 movies actually felt like a movie, but this one is just straight from point a to b like teleportation. It took me out like 10 times to the point were I couldn't even enjoy the action. The main goal is legit to lower the standard so low that you appreciate other mediocre films way more. They definitely achieved that goal

IDEA: Personally, I think they've set up Eddie to be part of Tom's potential new trilogy. (This would be if Eddie somehow gets into the MCU) We have an Eddie, who is completely down on his luck, he's lost his life, relationships, has no world to go back to, and his best friend. What if he somehow finds out that there is a Venom, his Venom, out there, and finds that Spider-Man has it. He knows who Spider-Man is, and he wants Venom back. When Spider-Man says no, Hardy could get upset pretty quickly, which would make him turn hateful towards Spider-Man. There could also be a conflict where Venom wants to stay to Spider-Man, but Eddie is able to take him back from Spider-Man wanting him gone and now they both want revenge on Spidey. Also, since Eddie has no job or home, and we know JJJ is shady and believes the crazy, he might hire Eddie because of Eddie needing a job and his past credentials. Peter could also start to work at the Bugle since he's going to college and needs money to pay his rent as well. (To add onto that, Eddie could've talked to Spider-Man before to get Venom, but Spider-Man said "no" and Eddie would go to JJJ to write about Spider-Man being bad, hence why he was hired in the first place.)
Spider-Man 4 is officially hitting theatres July 24, 2026. A week after Christopher Nolan’s movie. What a summer it’s gonna be my favourite comic book character of all time and my favourite director having a film in back to back weeks.

Venom: The Last Dance is my favorite movie in the Venom Trilogy. Though it is weird that VENOM of all characters got a Movie Trilogy before WONDER WOMAN.
They deliberately cut Toxin out in the beginning. With Toxin being the strongest symbiote yet, he could have a chance to resurrect Venom and team up against Knull.

I thought the implication of the final post credit scene was that “viral shedding” specimen they caught in Mexico is what bonds with the cockroach to reveal some form of Venom ends up living on?
Here's my thoughts on how they could've written a venom trilogy set in its own universe similar to Deadpool before eventually connecting to the larger picture The origin movie could basically be the same, but with a stronger narrative and characters. Cut to maybe a year later there's been a series of murders eddie investgates that leads him to carnage, an evil spawn of venom that uses the hive mind to learn of knull and actually wants to release him to bring carnage and death to the universe, so venom has to stop that. Then venom 3 knull discovers the multiverse after the events of no way home and venoms symbiote splitting between Universes. So he seeks out venom the try and figure out how he traveled between worlds. Before he's captured though, he more multiversal shenanigans or whatever pull him into the mcu. He then seeks out spider man in agner for endangering the entire universe. Idk something along those lines. The entire trilogy really should've just lead up to knull and a fight between Spider-Man and venom. Would've been so much better actually
I feel like he forgot that Eddie lost his girl, his job, and everything before Venom. Venom came into his life when he was at rock bottom. So it makes sense why Eddie bonded with Venom over the year.

When I saw the post credit scene of NWH I was getting excited for the future movies to see Eddie and Peter finally coming face to face to fight or team up and now 3 years later, they remove that line from this movie and we’re never getting that movie or anything like that ever again. When Eddie was asking Drake those questions about how he was testing experiments on people that resulted in Eddie getting fired from his job and it got Anne fired from her job. That was when Anne broke up with Eddie Also, Venom pointed out how Eddie was a loser before he even met him and Venom himself said he was also a loser on his planet.

Completely agree! My least favorite part in the whole movie is Eddies Reaction to Venoms death. He just says “no…no..” but with zzzeerrrrooo emotion. You’d think after building their relationship up so much Eddie would be wayyy more amped up and intense when watching his best friend die. It is the most lackluster thing ever and I can’t stop thinking about how I wanted to see Tom Hardy get super emotional watching Venom Die

I watched the first venom movie when I was four and I watched let there be carnage venom is one of my top three marvel character that’s why when venom died in this movie I cried. I know it sounds crazy but I love this trilogy. I think this was definitely the best one. It gave us all the symboiotes before the sendoff.
After Venom 2 , I accepted the route that they were going in even though I wasn't fan of it, but I simply let it go and try to enjoy the ride. But after watching Venom 3, Sony fumbled this franchise potential. When you watch all 3 Venom its the same thing. Hardy walking around like drug addict while doing physical comedy with Venom until the big fight. I wouldn't be mad if it was something different in them but there wasn't.

My expectations were too high. The trailers made it seem like an actually good movie but ohh my lordd. Keep in mind , i was a fan of the first 2 movies but OHH GOD. In my opinion this was the movie of the year, there was action (A LOT OF IT) some funny moments and jokes, and then they sprinkled in the perfect amount of sadness. I personally don’t understand all the hate I loved this movie especially since I watched it in 3D too.

The vegas part was my favourite part tbh, pretty much just because of Mrs. Chen😂 I loved the scenes with the family too it reminded me weirdly of the movie Paul with Seth Rogen
I honestly had a blast. I dont know a lot about the comics, so I go in less worried about lore and accuracy and more just looking for a good time, I got that. Funnier than the last one, not the best usage of new characters, but oh well, and a nice conclusion. What I did NOT like however was Venom not getting the logo, and him dying in the end. It feels like they could have justified him living with more symbioses showing up, but I dont know how accurate that would be. 8/10 movie, and a nice conclusion. I’ve been with Chris since Venom 2, and this has been a fun ride.
The final post credit scene I think was supposed to indicate that that tiny piece of venom that was in that tube got out and it could latch onto a cockroach Also, that green Symbiote wasn’t toxic because earlier in the movie they said that Mulligan symbol left him and in the comics Eddie does be the host to talk in for quite a while so they could have him have that Symbiote

So a little detail in the movie you got wrong is about how the codex works. It's established that when the host DIES and the symbiote revives them, the codex is formed. Eddie died when he got stabbed in the first movie. They stay consistent with the symbiotes healing people near death, Eddie is the only character who died only to be brought back by the symbiote.
That, and also it looks like each symbiote in the fight at the end were able to bond with people before they actually died

I think that’s part of the problem I tend to believe they are very much aware of that fact but I think their singular focus is doing whatever possible to hold onto the Spider-Man license and not caring so much about how the film itself turns out

The thing that bugged me the most that nobody is talking about is how awfully edited this movie is. It's not even a finished movie. The last 2 movies actually felt like a movie, but this one is just straight from point a to b like teleportation. It took me out like 10 times to the point were I couldn't even enjoy the action. The main goal is legit to lower the standard so low that you appreciate other mediocre films way more. They definitely achieved that goal

IDEA: Personally, I think they've set up Eddie to be part of Tom's potential new trilogy. (This would be if Eddie somehow gets into the MCU) We have an Eddie, who is completely down on his luck, he's lost his life, relationships, has no world to go back to, and his best friend. What if he somehow finds out that there is a Venom, his Venom, out there, and finds that Spider-Man has it. He knows who Spider-Man is, and he wants Venom back. When Spider-Man says no, Hardy could get upset pretty quickly, which would make him turn hateful towards Spider-Man. There could also be a conflict where Venom wants to stay to Spider-Man, but Eddie is able to take him back from Spider-Man wanting him gone and now they both want revenge on Spidey.
Also, since Eddie has no job or home, and we know JJJ is shady and believes the crazy, he might hire Eddie because of Eddie needing a job and his past credentials. Peter could also start to work at the Bugle since he's going to college and needs money to pay his rent as well.
(To add onto that, Eddie could've talked to Spider-Man before to get Venom, but Spider-Man said "no" and Eddie would go to JJJ to write about Spider-Man being bad, hence why he was hired in the first place.)

They deliberately cut Toxin out in the beginning. With Toxin being the strongest symbiote yet, he could have a chance to resurrect Venom and team up against Knull.

Here's my thoughts on how they could've written a venom trilogy set in its own universe similar to Deadpool before eventually connecting to the larger picture The origin movie could basically be the same, but with a stronger narrative and characters. Cut to maybe a year later there's been a series of murders eddie investgates that leads him to carnage, an evil spawn of venom that uses the hive mind to learn of knull and actually wants to release him to bring carnage and death to the universe, so venom has to stop that. Then venom 3 knull discovers the multiverse after the events of no way home and venoms symbiote splitting between Universes. So he seeks out venom the try and figure out how he traveled between worlds. Before he's captured though, he more multiversal shenanigans or whatever pull him into the mcu. He then seeks out spider man in agner for endangering the entire universe. Idk something along those lines. The entire trilogy really should've just lead up to knull and a fight between Spider-Man and venom. Would've been so much better actually
This movie was a 7/10 for me. However, even though I enjoy these Venom movies, I completely understand why people would hate this one.

Venom said he had a shared memory with other reality versions... so what if the same venom could live on through the piece he left in the MCU and be born again after attaching to a new host, aka spiderman, and what if there was an eddie brock in the mcu that was also tom hardy - and venom is able to share his alternate eddie memories with mcu eddie to help them bond into venom once more?

Completely agree! My least favorite part in the whole movie is Eddies Reaction to Venoms death. He just says “no…no..” but with zzzeerrrrooo emotion. You’d think after building their relationship up so much Eddie would be wayyy more amped up and intense when watching his best friend die. It is the most lackluster thing ever and I can’t stop thinking about how I wanted to see Tom Hardy get super emotional watching Venom Die

I watched the first venom movie when I was four and I watched let there be carnage venom is one of my top three marvel character that’s why when venom died in this movie I cried. I know it sounds crazy but I love this trilogy. I think this was definitely the best one. It gave us all the symboiotes before the sendoff.

After Venom 2 , I accepted the route that they were going in even though I wasn't fan of it, but I simply let it go and try to enjoy the ride. But after watching Venom 3, Sony fumbled this franchise potential. When you watch all 3 Venom its the same thing. Hardy walking around like drug addict while doing physical comedy with Venom until the big fight. I wouldn't be mad if it was something different in them but there wasn't.
Actually, Eddie ruined his love life and journalism career on his own. Venom even mentions it in Let There Be Carnage.

dude, you don't know how studio Intellectual Property works. Deals were made years ago, when these companies were in very different places that are dictating why spiderman isn't in these movies.
The vegas part was my favourite part tbh, pretty much just because of Mrs. Chen😂 I loved the scenes with the family too it reminded me weirdly of the movie Paul with Seth Rogen
I honestly had a blast. I dont know a lot about the comics, so I go in less worried about lore and accuracy and more just looking for a good time, I got that. Funnier than the last one, not the best usage of new characters, but oh well, and a nice conclusion. What I did NOT like however was Venom not getting the logo, and him dying in the end. It feels like they could have justified him living with more symbioses showing up, but I dont know how accurate that would be. 8/10 movie, and a nice conclusion. I’ve been with Chris since Venom 2, and this has been a fun ride.
