Hey everyone! I know there's a runaway method which is faster, but I was double hunting which would of made it a little tedious, so I went with soft resetting! 😁
@@colby_247 some RUclipsr must've spread some misinformation there. I've timed it along with some other people and results showed that softresetting is always the fastest method, even when executing the puzzle perfectly.
Just a point, regardless of whether it's faster or not to reset, it requires less input to reset. You say in the video that you were double hunting this after borrowing your girlfriend's Switch so to RunAway/KO the Regis on two systems would require far too much effort & input. You streamline this by resetting on both games and mashing the A button like any good shiny hunter would. Also, this is full odds. Some of the comments are moronic & quite frankly the insults are pathetic, so quick to judge. Congrats on the shiny!
@@stijnhagman985 If you mean "how am I going to shiny hunt regidrago if I already catches regieleki" well on switch you can create another account, play until you get the flying taxi, get to the crown's tundra, get a few lvl 65-70s from the Dynamax adventures, then just destroy everything until you've beaten the dragon champion (it allows you to catch wild pokemons higher than lvl 55), catch the regis, get to the choice ruins and you're done (if you beat the league you get a masterball in case of).
@@jkc-l8978 idk why but, someone is giving out the shiny galarian birds for free on a livestream. All you have to do is put a level 71 to 80 zigzagoon in gts on pokemon home and he’ll give one to you. On a side note, these birds must be getting an event soon because their shiny variations can be transferred through pokemon home thus meaning these shinies are legit but not at the same time. (Hes not streaming at the moment)

I seriously commend you for your persistence, I beat the entire game and both dlc's stories but one thing I will never do is shiny hunt, it's just way too much work lol

I did not know u can do that way save in front of the statue rinse n repeat, what I did was the long way save do the pattern, go statue not shiny, then sr

It took me roughly 6600 with Shiny Charm odds. FML Edit: I also killed him once so I could skip the "are you sure you want the dragon pattern?" text. It saved like 2 seconds, but over a couple thousand runs that isn't bad

You have better odds by just killing it, every time it’s defeated it’ll just let you fight again. It counts towards the amount of battles you’ve fought against the species. Battling it more and more increases the odds of finding it shiny
Im doing that with Regieleki rn and im about to reach 200 battles against it lol i think doing this would give you better chances then reseting and im glad it works too

The runaway method isn't actually faster. Resetting saves a little bit of time each encounter.

I have shiny genesect and when it follows you around it’s so cool it starts to fly like it has a jet pack. Genesect is general

I got my shiny regirock today at 2979 SRs, it scared me so much because I caught it with only 1 PP left.
It looks like Yveltal mixed with Registeel and I'm all for it! It looks dope!

If you haven't caught it you should be fine. Everytime you encounter it, it has a chance to be shiny!

i think the kill chaining method is way faster, ive got a shiny registeel after 684 defeated
It's been proven by data miners that the chaining method does not work on static Pokémon

It's just been proven that its only wild encounters, not static Pokémon like the Regi's
The only shiny pokemon I've reset for was Cobalion in USUM. Took about a day and a half. Never again XD

don't waste your time fainting the regis it won't give you better odds since the encounters are static not regular
