@@JMcKey21 Everyone should look into Carl's Dine Out mod, if on PC. It doesn't excuse EA but he pretty much fixes the pack and adds great gameplay (you can be a chef yourself)
This pack should be illegal. In the trailer, we clearly see a wedding planner and the bride and groom having different likes/dislikes for the cake, the flower bouquet, the dresses. I can not believe neither of these things that were advertised came on the pack. And also, can't believe EA got away with this till this day, can't believe they still are making money of this pack
Get famous trailer is a lie too. It look like we can make so much stuff. There is even a sim arriving in a limousine. The pack isnt horrible as this one, but its definitly not like the trailer.

If you turn off autonomy for all sims the wedding ceremonies actually work pretty well, but that’s no excuse to make a broken pack and sell it for full price. EA is another breed istg
If you have to make it where the dumb AI can't move an inch or they ruin everything, that is an issue. Even if they fixed it, you can't give me Wedding Stories. At least Dine Out can be usable (especially with the Reloaded mod).

What is sad about MWS is that even if this pack was not buggy and glitchy I wouldn't buy or recommend it. Because even if they fix the bugs and glitches it does not come with substantial gameplay. This is suppose to be a game pack, it should come with substantial game play. But the truth is, it essentially the only thing it does is add more bullet points for you to do on the already existing wedding event from the base game. And even that is the bare minimum. It's called "My Wedding STORIES" it could have really expanded the story of you leading up to you marriage. Like they could have added online dating, or a system where you court someone, they could have improved on the relationship system, gave special wants and fears depending on their traits, have a proper pre-wedding events that actually work, have a honeymoon system. Like it's a fucking game pack. It should have game play elements. As much as Dine Out is buggy as fuck, at least that game pack actually have gameplay elements to it. If the fix that pack, that pack would honestly be ranked at B, maybe an A. You know Dine Out is a good pack if it's fixed, because Carl, fixed that pack, and honestly it's fun to play it. However, MWS and DHD these two packs literally have nothing in it but cute Build and Buy objects. Nothing more. Those two should have been a stuff packs. Paranormal Stuff Pack had more gameplay element in it than these two combined.
What is really sad is that modders who have extremely limited resources in comparison to Maxis can and do make better packs. Why did they not collab with someone in the wedding industry? Why were their not at least 2 jobs with this pack, wedding planner and wedding dress/cake shop owner? Why was there not freelance jobs added like a wedding bartender/DJ? None of these things are impossible to do in the engine and yet they did not add them.
Ugh my sims got married the other day. Everyone arrived *after* the vows, despite being told to take their seats. (Oh and my sim walking the wrong way up the aisle, twice!) Then someone had the *audacity* to EAT a slice of the fricking cake before the bridge and groom got to cut it! Then they all blocked the dance floor so my sims couldn’t have their first dance. Absolute shenanigans.
I've had the issue where guests sit in the middle of the aisle while I'm trying to take pics of the bride n groom. It's so damn annoying. I wish if you press "please take your seats" the sims won't move until they're directed to do something else or the time of the event runs out.
A friend of mine was once invited to such a perfectly planned wedding, that she decided not to go. I can understand it. Because it was like they planned every single move.

I had flashbacks to my own wedding. It felt like herding cats at times. Some very helpful people had cleared out all the chairs, plus the table we used as an altar and all the related stuff, and everyone had gone inside, ready for dinner. One time I went through SO much to get the perfect venue, cake, officiant, etc for my legacy sims and when I went to start the wedding no one showed up and random sims came instead and ruined the food and cake

I feel like the base game weddings are more … sweet? Like you can get everyone in a group and have them all go to the arch together, everyone sits or stands near it and watches the couple, some cry, some throw rice or confetti, they clap and cheer, it’s sweet. You can still cut the cake and feed each other a bite, everyone can go to the dance floor together by your command and dance, a bar is fine for drinks the toast thing isn’t as graceful Like what’s so wrong with the base game weddings that they had to make this mess

What i also hate about this pack is that the world is obviously greek inspired and that's really cute and all BUT it's named Tartarosa...which in greek mythology was basically hell for the people in the afterlife.
I usually just remove the doors of the rooms where I want the sims to be in and remove some items that might distract them when I do a wedding. Since the sims can't get out they usually stay seated or on the altar because there's noting else they can do. It's not perfect but it help my sanity.
The cake is not broken!! when you plan your wedding on the calendar it will not apear , but click on the cake ( in your inventory) it and an option will appear saying choose wedding, I think, and when you go to the wedding plans and it will appear.
The only pack I haven’t got and never ever want to get because I listened to the warnings from SimsTubers who were honest and didn’t sugarcoat the issues and I’m glad that I still have base-game weddings rather than this monstrosity of a pack. The items are beautiful but gameplay is so much more important to me even though The Sims 4 has become more of a dollhouse builder than a life simulator. Every pack caters to builders, this franchise has lost its roots and it’s no surprise why other life simulation games are popping up on the radar now as competitors.
I use TwistedMexi's Dual Wedding System. I use base game weddings (under plan a social event on the phone) and get base game goaled event. Then I throw in whatever interactions I want such as walk down the aisle, toast, dance, etc. I didn't even buy the pack until I knew that was an option.

If there's something positive (not really) about its gameplay, it brings in some chaos, though. 😆 It was the first and only pack I bought for my Xbox (the free Get to Work doesn't count). I didn't get that far that my sims would have had a wedding itself, but the other related events yes and they were glitchy, obviously, and I had no idea if the chosen venues lacked the needed build items. And yet, I decided to switch to PC, so in this July, I had to purchase it again for just a few weeks after the Xbox version because of the world, CAS and build mode items. 😅
If your sims are all off the lot again for some reason, Satch, you can click on their little lightning bolt icons to get an assortment of options, including working on a skill, taking control of the sim (takes you to the lot they're on), and bringing the sim to the current lot. The lightning bolt is the default of course, and it's the option for taking care of your needs, but it's been a bit poorly implemented as sims won't take care of their needs all the time... if ever...?? lol
the fact that there isn't even the option to say no when being asked (ring bearer etc) is so shallow. might as well asign them right away without asking if they will say anyways...
Those who came from oder Sims game especially sims2 with the cutscene, it’s not even that flashy but it’s so good that we all could remember. My gosh i got so frustrated watching this😂 everything feels pointless in sims4.
Just realized the thumbnail for plaining a wedding event clearly shows Nina Caliente and Don Lothario (pre EA makeover) in the thumbnail. You can even even see Dina Caliente {pre EA makeover) and teen Malcolm Landgraab sitting in the front row. That's about as much lore we will get in The Sims 4 universe, lmao.
The world is gorgeous, and I like B&B and that we can bake wedding cakes and make bouquets with Seasons. But the wedding ceremonies are now a test of patience.
I must say the base game weddings work really well now! All my guests sit down in the chairs to watch the vows, and the spouses don’t try to run off. 😏
I once baked a cake for my sims wedding and i accidentally put it in the dishwasher and the second time my sim put it in the dishwasher and the third time my sim took a bite before selecting it for the wedding and the fourth time bella goth came to my house and put the cake in the dishwasher and the fifth time my sim died from a meteor and i had to bring him back to life with mc command center and before that was done another sim took a bite of the cake and the sixth time in succeeded but at the wedding the cake couldnt be set anywhere so that was 1000 simoleon for nothing and my sims couldnt pay rent so the elictricity and power got cut of and then my fridge broke and because i couldnt pay for it i had make my sim do it and my sim got elecrocuted and died
I think in my opinion my wedding stories is worse than dine out EA made a terrible job on My wedding stories I do hope they fix it and if you are waiting to get it dont because its an absolute nightmare comment down below if you agree with me that mu wedding stories is worse than dine out I might be rong!
I noticed you have autonomy on when trying to have a wedding trust me when I tell you this and I'm sure many have done this but My Wedding Stories pack is an absolute nightmare when autonomy is on I have had my best experiences when I turn them off now can't accommodate for NPCs outside your household but for the most part the NPCs you really care about with roles that aren't the guest wil work pretty smoothly in all honesty everyone's experiences are different but I promise that this pack is pretty decent when autonomy is OFF, yes it sucks that it has to be that way cuz it shouldnt but listen if your trying to have the full magical day to be perfect TURN AUTONOMY OFF... Your welcome😁
i know ea loves money so i don’t doubt i KNOW they will never do this but they should collab or ask simmers who make mods/cc to help with making these packs because wtf. if a company can’t make a proper pack but their own customers can that says a lot.

This pack was just so sad. I recently held a wedding and none of my family showed up! Nobody did the actions it was just all cancelling all the time! Nobody was wearing formal wear, sims didn't really sit down. It was such a sad mess! At this point a rabbithole wedding would have been better!
yeah, they fixed it, now it is not broken in 99% but only in 98% XD I hate so much mikroplanning in here. I think when you make rehersal wedding you should be able to queue there every action you want tto happen during wedding and then while official wedding you should watch how everything is happening one by one. AND if you dont wan't just watch but micromanage everything by yourself - just don't make rehersal wedding. Anyone found base game conversion build/buy custom content from this pack? I would love to have some b&b objects but I don't want to have broken weddings in gameplay :P
I think EA/Maxis hurt their reputation with this pack, I think a lot of people, maybe more than usual bought it because of the theme and therefore they ended up with a lot of people being disappointed.
I have married sims and when they talk to anyone the options of asking to be flowergirl/ringbearer etc STILL pop up. Even with sims that are in a relationship but not eloped. It clutters the conversation menu and is so annoying
I'm so sick of the Sims 4 using the same old crusty animations in every pack. Like the exchange vows scene animations are the same base game ones I've seen a thousand times before. It's so boring honestly
I don’t get a sims game unless I see Satch’s review first. And afterwards, I still don’t get the game. 😂 I’ve noticed that there are more glitches EA needs to fix. Vampire sims can’t read tomes( so they can’t level up, making the pack unplayable) and my sims won’t eat. Which makes the entire game unplayable unless with cheats..,

I think it has to do with the cake glitch. my sims won't eat. they just keep halfway making white cakes. they will stop, put their normal food in their inventory when I ask them to eat it and start halfway baking a cake instead.

This pack should have come with a honeymoon experience, hotels, and the heart shaped vibrating bed.

U have to click the cake & select it as the wedding cake. Then the cake will show up on that space in the menu

For the bouquet to work you need to click on one sim who is standing behind your sim and find the interaction Throw bouquet to.

My Sims went to this world ONCE and the savefile is broken since then. As pretty as the world looks, its broken beyond repair
The only pack I haven’t got and never ever want to get because I listened to the warnings from SimsTubers who were honest and didn’t sugarcoat the issues and I’m glad that I still have base-game weddings rather than this monstrosity of a pack.
The items are beautiful but gameplay is so much more important to me even though The Sims 4 has become more of a dollhouse builder than a life simulator. Every pack caters to builders, this franchise has lost its roots and it’s no surprise why other life simulation games are popping up on the radar now as competitors.
Dunno why, but no video is as interesting for me to see, than a good rant. It's the best kind.

I use TwistedMexi's Dual Wedding System. I use base game weddings (under plan a social event on the phone) and get base game goaled event. Then I throw in whatever interactions I want such as walk down the aisle, toast, dance, etc. I didn't even buy the pack until I knew that was an option.

If there's something positive (not really) about its gameplay, it brings in some chaos, though. 😆 It was the first and only pack I bought for my Xbox (the free Get to Work doesn't count). I didn't get that far that my sims would have had a wedding itself, but the other related events yes and they were glitchy, obviously, and I had no idea if the chosen venues lacked the needed build items. And yet, I decided to switch to PC, so in this July, I had to purchase it again for just a few weeks after the Xbox version because of the world, CAS and build mode items. 😅

If your sims are all off the lot again for some reason, Satch, you can click on their little lightning bolt icons to get an assortment of options, including working on a skill, taking control of the sim (takes you to the lot they're on), and bringing the sim to the current lot. The lightning bolt is the default of course, and it's the option for taking care of your needs, but it's been a bit poorly implemented as sims won't take care of their needs all the time... if ever...?? lol

Twistedmexi has a mod that you can have the option to choose between base game wedding and the wedding from mws
the fact that there isn't even the option to say no when being asked (ring bearer etc) is so shallow. might as well asign them right away without asking if they will say anyways...
Those who came from oder Sims game especially sims2 with the cutscene, it’s not even that flashy but it’s so good that we all could remember. My gosh i got so frustrated watching this😂 everything feels pointless in sims4.

I could mimic dance floors in the sims 4 base game by using an athlete exercise mat and adding terrestrial saucers lights to it.
Just realized the thumbnail for plaining a wedding event clearly shows Nina Caliente and Don Lothario (pre EA makeover) in the thumbnail. You can even even see Dina Caliente {pre EA makeover) and teen Malcolm Landgraab sitting in the front row. That's about as much lore we will get in The Sims 4 universe, lmao.
The world is gorgeous, and I like B&B and that we can bake wedding cakes and make bouquets with Seasons. But the wedding ceremonies are now a test of patience.
I have a bug where any sim (engaged married or none of the above) can ask any sim to be in a role in their non existant wedding. It's so broken

I must say the base game weddings work really well now! All my guests sit down in the chairs to watch the vows, and the spouses don’t try to run off. 😏

I once baked a cake for my sims wedding and i accidentally put it in the dishwasher and the second time my sim put it in the dishwasher and the third time my sim took a bite before selecting it for the wedding and the fourth time bella goth came to my house and put the cake in the dishwasher and the fifth time my sim died from a meteor and i had to bring him back to life with mc command center and before that was done another sim took a bite of the cake and the sixth time in succeeded but at the wedding the cake couldnt be set anywhere so that was 1000 simoleon for nothing and my sims couldnt pay rent so the elictricity and power got cut of and then my fridge broke and because i couldnt pay for it i had make my sim do it and my sim got elecrocuted and died

I noticed you have autonomy on when trying to have a wedding trust me when I tell you this and I'm sure many have done this but My Wedding Stories pack is an absolute nightmare when autonomy is on I have had my best experiences when I turn them off now can't accommodate for NPCs outside your household but for the most part the NPCs you really care about with roles that aren't the guest wil work pretty smoothly in all honesty everyone's experiences are different but I promise that this pack is pretty decent when autonomy is OFF, yes it sucks that it has to be that way cuz it shouldnt but listen if your trying to have the full magical day to be perfect TURN AUTONOMY OFF... Your welcome😁

i know ea loves money so i don’t doubt i KNOW they will never do this but they should collab or ask simmers who make mods/cc to help with making these packs because wtf. if a company can’t make a proper pack but their own customers can that says a lot.

This pack was just so sad. I recently held a wedding and none of my family showed up! Nobody did the actions it was just all cancelling all the time! Nobody was wearing formal wear, sims didn't really sit down. It was such a sad mess! At this point a rabbithole wedding would have been better!

I hate so much mikroplanning in here. I think when you make rehersal wedding you should be able to queue there every action you want tto happen during wedding and then while official wedding you should watch how everything is happening one by one. AND if you dont wan't just watch but micromanage everything by yourself - just don't make rehersal wedding.
Anyone found base game conversion build/buy custom content from this pack? I would love to have some b&b objects but I don't want to have broken weddings in gameplay :P
I think EA/Maxis hurt their reputation with this pack, I think a lot of people, maybe more than usual bought it because of the theme and therefore they ended up with a lot of people being disappointed.
I can't even get married because everytime i do, it says my fiance isn't around even though they're literally in the household 😭😭
I have married sims and when they talk to anyone the options of asking to be flowergirl/ringbearer etc STILL pop up. Even with sims that are in a relationship but not eloped. It clutters the conversation menu and is so annoying
I'm so sick of the Sims 4 using the same old crusty animations in every pack. Like the exchange vows scene animations are the same base game ones I've seen a thousand times before. It's so boring honestly
I don’t get a sims game unless I see Satch’s review first. And afterwards, I still don’t get the game. 😂 I’ve noticed that there are more glitches EA needs to fix. Vampire sims can’t read tomes( so they can’t level up, making the pack unplayable) and my sims won’t eat. Which makes the entire game unplayable unless with cheats..,

@@ashleighlillith1154 from what I read the this maybe related to custom cc beds. Which suck , b/c maxis beds don’t look attractive to me. Edit: I haven’t tested this yet to see if that is it.

@@marta9854 i feel the same way. I was surprised I couldn't find more people complaining about it. I think it has to do with the cake glitch. my sims won't eat. they just keep halfway making white cakes. they will stop, put their normal food in their inventory when I ask them to eat it and start halfway baking a cake instead.
