When it comes to overall presence, the ability to make an impression, uniqueness, consistency and bringing other people together to make a impact together all while being positive and NEVER EVER SWAYING OR SWITCHING UP YOUR STYLE. I absolutely dislike using the generic phrase "Keeping it Real" but Guru absolutely did through his entire career. I remember my brother buying Jazzamatazz and thinking......"this is great". We don't have men in the Hip Hop community that are made like Guru. The roots running through their being that extend to other realms of humanity past all the glitz and glamour of being rich and famous that will risk their popularity to express theirseleves in a totally different genre. God Bless Guru. Long live his music!!!

Me personally, I can respect how they came together and did this song as a tribute to the man that helped put them on from the beginning after his passing. I give props to that but what I wanna know is how come not one of them shouted out or mentioned anything about DJ Premier? For years this whole thing between Jeru, Group Home and Premier their fallout must've been on some real serious shit! To me it look like they did this song and video as both a tribute to Guru and fuck you to DJ Premier.
But the thing people including themselves need to understand is none of them would've even been as popular as they became and got noticed the way they did if it wasn't for Premier and his involvement with them doing the production. Premier was really the one who carried these niggas and gave them the spotlight because truth be told nobody was really listening or gettin' their albums because of their lyrical talents. They simply liked Premier's beats! Let's be real here.

Premier from Gang Starr produced it and it was da shit! Just by Lil' Dap"s voice and rhyme style, they should of got over!
