"Best drummer of their generation". This guy still unemployed 30 years later.
@@caciquesealth6281 it probably happens more often than you think that the actual best ends up having a hard time fitting in. Outliers are disruptive by nature.
Sensei of a drummer; effortless
most people don't know he plays every instrument, and he was sitting with the guitar and started playing Go, and everyone started jamming to it..if you look up Go, it only has Dave's name as the writer, but another crazy fact is hit songs from Ten, Vs and Vitalogy Eddie had written in 86-TEN. has anyone heard the 1986 version of Betterman
Out of all the PJ drummers. Dave was/is certainly the most skilled.
Never seen a more comfortable looking drumset, his cymbals are so close but out of the way.
Thanks for all the love everyone!
@@revolutionday1 yeah, Pearl Jam gets that money. Not me. Thank you for comment though.
@@Brento44 Ignore him Brent, always there's a fuck!ng idiot in a group of people, we are lucky for knowing in this one is that guy. Thanks for sharing this historic video.
Cheers from Chile 🤘🏻🇨🇱.
@@JotaMcCready Exactly! Cheers!
Dave was a standout drummer with PJ. Powerful and talented. From my own experience, I have found some singers & guitarists do not like the spotlight taken off of them by a talented drummer. They feel threatened. They do not see the high importance that a excellent drummer brings to a band. Instead, the drummer is looked upon to keep time and don't get in the way. PJ was never the same without dave. Lame.
I felt insulted when I saw Dave is nowhere to be seen on the album art for their greatest hits album, Rearviewmirror.
I just saw something on Dave’s split from PJ, it said Eddie thought Dave was to flashy...proving your point about font men wanting no one else to get attention.
Dude spent his whole PJ career in the pocket.
...and ever since...well, besides a few years of hustling other shit. LOL
Such a beast man, wish him and Eddie saw eye to eye which they didn’t sadly. Such a mistake letting this guy go.
El me inspiró a ser baterista es tan cool tocando, en vivo todos atraían la mirada hacia Dave ignorando por completo a toda la banda. Es verdaderamente un monstruo
I love his style of drumming. For me a 4 or 5 piece set with lots of cymbals fits the bill.
Wshed we had more of Dave's outstanding playing.
Check out what he did with Green Romance Orchestra and Stevie Salas!
@@Brento44 Thank you friend, I will indeed!
@@Brento44 and international motherfuckers ...i like steve salas very much bc of his music and his native american too👍👍👍❤
I’d love to see an interview with him in 2021.
Abbruzzese is easily the best PJ drummer in terms of their sound. He has a groove that none of the other PJ drummers have, including Cameron. Cameron’s groove is perfect for Soundgarden, not PJ.
Even flow has some of the best drum work ever heard it’s so grand with the bass and guitar and vedders voice, it literally shocks my souls when I hear someone say they don’t like Pearl j
Dave es el mejor baterista que ha tenido Pearl Jam
Por ti empece a tocar la batería eres mi héroe
This is the guy that made me wanna play.
the perfect drummer
Thank you very much my good sir for the re upload with better audio and visuals. I'm a huge fan of this legend, this is "without a doubt.…incredible." Thanks again. :D
