    I can't believe the amount of stress picking a stroller wagon was for my husband and I. I was about to throw in the towel until I can upon your channel. I was surprised at how poor the two I was leaning towards scored in an area that was important to us. We went with the radio fly, still waiting to test it out. We also think the ability to pull the wagon on when off-roading will make it easier, especially when there's a parent to also push. Thanks so much for your extensive testing it really helped us so much!

      Thank you Jenine. I go back and forth on how much stress product research is really worth. I remember spending a ridiculous amount of time choosing a chandelier for our dining room table once and then both of us thinking how it probably wouldn't have mattered. There is probably a balanced approach where you exercise wisdom but don't bow to anxiety. We try to keep these videos as short as possible and narrow it down to things that might make a difference to most people. I think you'll like the Radio Flyer. I kind of have a bias toward lightweight and low cost.

    Have the Wonderfold W2 Luxe for almost a year and it’s been wonderful. Can’t recommend it enough. We mainly use it for transporting my kid to school and back and for weekend strolls to the nearby mall and playground. The pull handle is a must if you’re planning to use it on snowy and muddy terrains. One downside we found is how cumbersome it is to store in the trunk of our Sorento. As much as we want to use it as often as we’d like, we are limited in space so we are planning to buy the Veer Cruiser to complement it.
    Another thing to note on the WF: you would get a lot of compliments while using it. So if you’re an introvert like me, it may not be the perfect wagon for you. 😅

      Thank you Starr! I'm really pondering whether I want to spend the $849 for the Famileasy. I think it will test well against the Keenz. It's not yet available on Amazon.com, so it doesn't have the demand as most of the others yet. I'll probably eventually do it. Thanks for mentioning it and thanks for the feedback on the videos! Excellent and concise review. This was very helpful. I have three children, a 4.5 year old, a 2.5 year old, and a newborn baby. Someone recommended the Baby Trend, which seems like a great budget choice, but I’m wondering the longevity I would get out of it with my oldest age. I love the stroller-like handlebar and push, parent console, and that everything we would need is included for a more affordable price, but the smaller wagon size and canopy- which I’m unsure how that would do much to help protect against sun or rain for even one child, and lack of all-terrain capability is a major concern.
    I would absolutely love a Veer XL with all of the accessories for its rugged durability, all terrain capabilities, easy cleaning, and being able to fit through a doorway, but I really don’t think I can justify the cost once everything adds up.
    Ultimately, I’m leaning heavily towards the Anthem 4 for all that it offers (I would buy the car seat adapter), but I wish there was a store to test drive it. My 4.5 year old is on the smaller side, but I am concerned if she will fit in there for long, especially since I’ve heard reports about the shorter canopies. The canopies on this wagon is a major draw for the sun, wind, rain, protection and privacy it offers for naps. I’m wondering if you have any feedback on these concerns and if you think this might be the right fit for us or if you’d recommend saving up for the Veer XL and accessories instead. Thank you!

    • @KidTravel1
      @KidTravel1  5 месяцев назад +1

      I really like the Anthem. You are right the challenge with it is for bigger kids. The canopies are an issue but don't really seem to bother the kids too much when their heads bump. But their knees quickly get higher than the cup holders too. The 2 seater Anthem ends up being roomier for 2 than the 4-seater for 4 because they aren't that different in width. But all that said, the Anthem gives you a lot that the Veer does for a better price.
      The Baby Trend is a great price for what you get. It also has a mosquito net thing in addition to the canopy that provides a little bit of sun protection. We didn't rate it super high for a variety of reasons but the price helps.

      @@KidTravel1 thank you so much for your reply. I’m currently saving up for the new Gladly Eclipse Anthem4 and hoping that’s the overall best choice with the new XXL canopies to allow for more headroom and the 5 point harness for added safety. The Veer City XL sounds amazing, but with everything the Gladly offers for a fraction of the price, I think it’s worth the shot. I hope to see an Eclipse Anthem4 review coming soon and maybe even comparing it to the Veer XL and their new City XL 😊

    • @KidTravel1
      @KidTravel1  Год назад +2

      Really good question that I don't have a great answer to. With the stroller-wagon you generally get 1) extra cost 2) a push handle 3) accessories like storage, canopy, cup holders 4) sometimes more comfortable seats, sometimes no different than a wagon. However, there is a lot of crossover these days, with some wagons including a push handlebar and even a canopy.
      It is usually easier to push than pull especially on leisurely walks. So you probably want a stroller wagon or wagon with a push handle for that.
      Having a canopy, as annoying as some of them are, is probably important for the kind of things you will be doing, so that points more to a stroller wagon or wagon with a canopy.
      The seats could go either way. Your kids might be just as content on the floor of a wagon and being able to move around more freely.
      And the accessories also have to do with preferences. Some wagons have some cubbies for drinks.

We currently have the radio flyer, with our family growing and having children at different ages and different stages this is going to be more accommodating. I have a two-year-old on the go I have a friend’s child that I have Monday through Friday age 10 months. Also one on the way so this will be more accommodating with nap schedules on the go, safe place for a baby to sleep! I also love the longevity big kids can fit in it won’t be wasting my time getting a double stroller. We love our radio flyer so much I will be gifting it to a close friend of mine. Probably one of the bigger ones with hanging seats like the Wonderfold W Eite or Luxe or Keenz 7S+ or XC series. The wagons with footwells probably won't be deep enough for longer legs. If it is just one child you could get one of the boxy wagons and let them sit on the floor like the Wonderfold, Keenz or Jeep. The Larktale works for bigger kids as well. The Veer and Anthem will work but their knees will be bent some especially as they continue to grow.

    I wish I had found this video before FINALLY making my purchase. I had been going through numerous videos and websites to pin down what stroller/wagon I would get for my 2 grandchildren. I HAD to look into weight limits as my older granddaughter has a tendency to walk off when she isnt fussing to be carried. It would be nice to include weight limits as it might be a concern for some people like me 😊. I am going back to review the other videos just to see if I made the right choice. Oh and if you could possibly include info on the height of the handles. I'm 5'8 with long arms and a lot of these looked like I would be bending over to push (arms being in an awkward position if that makes sense).

    • @KidTravel1

      Larktale, Keenz, Wonderfold and Everadvance have handles that postion up to 45 or 46 inches, however the higher they are positioned the closer to 90 degrees or completely vertical, they get. That forces you to walk closer to the stroller than you would like particularly if you are tall. The wonderfold is designed where it is easy to bump your feet against the axle unless you are back away from it.

      The Anthem 2 is less expensive than the Veer and does well on tough terrain, but still expensive.

      The Anthem's canopies work well in the rain.
      The Larktale (not in that video) comes with a rain cover if you buy the version with canopies.
      Veer, Wonderfold, Keenz, Jeep, all have rain covers available for separate purchase.
      I'm not sure about the Evenflo, Baby Trend, Graco. There are some generic rain covers that may work for those wagons that are more like strollers.

The raised canopy provides more headroom than the discovery but not as much sun coverage and is harder to take on and off. • @KidTravel1
      @KidTravel1  Год назад +1

      The Keenz XC+ is 54 lbs which is the size of our W4 Elite, and very similar configuration. I honestly think it could be a challenge for you if you don't have help. I clearly don't know the details of your capabilities but these big, higher-end wagons are pretty bulky and a little harder to move around than the equivalent weight in a more compact size. I think the pushing wouldn't be bad (even loaded with kids) if you stick to fairly smooth surfaces. But the loading, folding and unfolding might get to be a lot, depending on how often you think you would use it.
      There aren't many lightweight alternatives for 4 passenger wagons. The Wonderfold X4 has fewer bells and whistles but is roomy and much lighter at 41 lbs. It also folds easier and more compactly than the Keenz wagons and Wonderfold W4 series.

    Also any insight on tandem strollers? I've been looking at the Graco and Baby Trend sit n stand double strollers or possibly a stroller wagon. A stroller wagon won't do me much good though if it can't fit in a car trunk! Thanks for the review.

      Yes, with the wheels off I can get it in the trunk of the Civic. I have the Plus version. The rear wheels come off easily by pressing a wide silver button. The front wheels come off by pressing a narrow metal tab. You have to press hard to get it all the way in and it hurts your finger to press it hard enough. You can push it with a screwdriver or something hard.

      Hi Emily, I don't actually have the W4 Luxe but the functional differences from the W4 Elite are:
      - bigger wheel size in both the front and back
      - 5 lbs heavier
      - magnetic buckles
      - vegan leather handle
      So I think the bigger wheels will make it perform better than Elite in steering and maneuverability and make it better on the grass. This will be offset slightly by the extra weight (it is 63 lbs with nothing in it). The weight / size will make it harder to fold and get in and out of a van.
      The magnetic buckles are a cool upgrade because buckles are such a pain.

    Do you know how any of them do in the sand

      Most don't do well in the sand. The Veer and Anthem are ok. In general even those with wheels they say are made for sand are very difficult to pull in soft sand, but some of them do ok on hard packed sand.

      Nope not yet. There are a few I haven’t purchased yet but may if there is enough interest.
