I've been experimenting with various kinds of joinery, especially in relation to Readi-board, and I've come up with a joint system that works across the board (no pun intended) for anything from single sheet-to-sheet joints, to something with multiple layers like the plane here, and it's by using this fiberglass strand reinforced packaging paper/or/plastic tape like what is sent from companies like Amazon when they ship something to you. It works way better than the clear stuff, is way stickier. The foam would break apart before this tape would.
I also figured out a great way to join multi layer foam together and it's called a "half lap" in wood joinery. Basically, the joint from one piece overlaps on the outside and the joint from the other piece overlaps from the inside with this super thin double sided tape in between, and then clear or paper tape inside and out. It's honestly the strongest permanent joint you can get.
The next thing I'm working on is shrink wrapping my Readi-board, and embedding/gluing magnets and/or magnetic strips into the foam under the shrink wrap. You have to use magnets strong enough to hold the plane together in the air, so the wrap makes the foam durable enough that it can handle the magnets. I've used this method to hold wings on, and fuselages together without any issues. I would imagine that you could achieve a similar result simply by using tape, but the thin shrink wrap creates an almost hardened plastic shell around the foam.
Which leads me to something else I'm experimenting on, and it's using the really thick shrink wrap material around the foam, and then dissolving the foam with chemicals like acetone, leaving just a clear, hard plastic shell behind that can then be cut along the edges into two pieces, reinforced from the inside with superglue and plastic framing and made into a super lightweight wing or fuselage ready for prep and paint.
I know people have used these methods before, but it's something I like to experiment with myself.

Such a fun video. Also notice TKOR shirt, been seeing them a lot over the last month or so since Grant passed. It’s amazing how large but also tight knit all my favorite RUclips channels really are. Keep it up guys! Fun, wholesome, entertaining, and educational. If you are lining your joints with box tape, try tyvec(house wrap) tape instead. The blue color is the best and is about 3-4 times stronger than box tape. This is in stickyness, water resistance and over all strength. It is specifically designed to take moisture and cold without delaminating.

Do you ever fly at night? I would love to see you drop something with LED streamers, or a bunch of little things with LEDs on them, or maybe light up the cargo bay and fill it with glow-in-the-dark items and drop them. It would also be cool if you could drop some kind of radio-controlled guided "bomb" with a camera in it, and steer it toward some target on the ground (like a big older airplane that is retired, or a cardboard or foam structure of some kind), or maybe just compete to see who can hit closest to the center of a target.
