For me personally, no. I prefer the fabric band that is only compatible with the 7. I think the main reasons to choose the Ultra over the 7 are if you prefer the look of the Ultra, or really want the extra battery life.
The Lte performance would be very interesting too. Battery life and especially if the overheating issue is still there. Like the only 2 potential improvements that can make me consider such upgrade
Can you please share if the watch is able to measure HR every second as the setting suggest? Some say HR is paused if you don't move? Very informative review btw!

does it piggy back off phn...ie LTE if ypu leave phn at home but if u have phn in pocket watch uses bluetooth and phn does the work? just curious because i an testing iphn 15promax with ultra2 watch and hate phn so in going back to s24u that i have and galaxywatch ultra that i have ordered... also wondering if google calendar and google tap to pay work well on it
I’m curious too and I’ve considered it (and the new Samsung Ring), but the size/circumference being non-adjustable has been my main concern as my fingers sometimes retain water or something and bloat in size during exercise. I can’t wear regular rings during exercise because of this, so I guess that’s my main hang up on personally trying those out.

Is that a view in Google maps, linked to your Google account by Samsung Health? I just bought the Watch 7 but found that for windsurfing/watersports tracking the standard Samsung Health app is pretty much useless (no GPS data being stored).
You’re welcome. I’m using mymaps.google.com I track my workout with the default Samsung Health workout app on the watch. Then I export the .GPX file and upload that to my maps.google.com

@ft3Safety1st2 I used the og Samsung 35w usbc charger. I used also the Samsung og 25w usb c one. Still same results roughly 3 hours from dead to 100%. I'm at the second recharge with the newest update already installed. I see no improvement on charging times which are way too slow. I did notice some improvement on battery duration though. Already did a factory reset and wiped partition cache on recovery mode.

@@MarcoMarfia something's wrong. I'd exchange it. Mine easily charges in under 1 1/2 hours. I am using the usb c cable it comes with and a usb output hub with 45 watts.
Mine does too. But the past 2 charges I placed a small fan next to it and it has gone from 3 hours to 2 hours from 0-100. I think maybe it need to keep cool. Give it a try

Well, maybe resolved as you have not provided your testing results. You may be the best person to answer this question…..why did Samsung sell a product that wasn’t fully ready to be purchased? Shouldn’t they wait until the firmware is in better shape? That seems to be a bit fraudulent to me. I liken it to selling a car without all the wheels because they might send me two in a few weeks and two more in the near future, but until then I can sit in it and listen to the radio. Apparently there have been many complaints so the wearable whisperer decided to take an enormous amount of time to test the product as sold in a way Samsung apparently did not. And if Samsung did test it and still sold it, then bad on them. We will all be awaiting your extensive testing so I will thank you in advance. That is a helluva cute kitten.

There are others on youtube more qualified than me who have shown the results of the new firmware and how it's improved the battery life. Companies do put out products that need firmware fixes on launch. Unfortunately, that's just the way it seems to be with tech these days. At least they released the firmware quickly and hopefully will continue to improve on everything that they can. BTW, your review was awesome. I did not mean to take away from that at all. I just mentioned the battery improvement so others would know that Samsung has been working to fix it. Can't wait until your next video! Cheers.

The design is terrible, a circle inside a square… but why?
Mine takes a whopping 3 hours to charge from 0 to 100 using the proprietary charger and charging cable that comes with the Ultra
Are you also using a 20 watt USB C charger? It sounds like your charger might be slower.
