Looking back, maybe the reason why Luca was so good at Getting Over It is that he makes these computations while gaming
The thing he does with engineering for rollercoasters, I do with art of all kinds and animation. I used to do it with acting too. But looking at things and wondering, disecting how things work or how people are doing something is always so interesting to me. My brother is an engineer and in an kinda important position too, I was showing him a figure I bought that lights up in a cool way, and whilst I would analyse the figure in a sculptors sense, like balance, where things are connected on the figure and how would I sculpt it myself etc, my younger brother looked at it and instantly started talking about the wiring, the LEDs, certain things that were probably uncesisary which was funny and why things were there haha. He's never done that before with me and my stuff so that was very cool and fun to be a part of! People nerding out about the things they're passionate about, learning or are good at is always enjoyable to see!

I have friends who are Math majors and I showed them some Luca & Shu clips like the integration thingy, the square root, pi, etc. and though they told me that it’s been years since they’ve studied those things, they could still remember how to solve them… like, they weren’t surprised. They also answered faster when I showed them the video of Luca answering square roots 😅 stating that it’s natural for Math majors or STEM students to answer those basic questions. Like, dude, HELP!!! Numbers & analyzing everything are their daily food. So no wonder Luca is Luca. Shu is Shu. They eat numbers, bro.

@wheresmyfood same 😐 and mine is the same reason as Luca too. Milk is white...most of the food that has vanilla is white.... couldn't tell the taste a part so I just assume it was milk the whole time. Also I'm from a part of SEA where Vanilla is not the big thing as well 🤷♀️

I always think about the dome in Milano. Huge fuckin building, made completely out of marble and it took them like 300 years to build.
First of all, the church had the money and influence and also interest to build such things back then. Then, the materials were not all exploited from the earth like they are today. Imagine the cost of all that marble today. And then they could just make people build this (very lovely looking) shit for 300y.
it's the same even further back in Egypt or Greece or Rome. Except not funded by the catholic church but the emperors, but yeah, nobody would care to build like that nowadays.
