Lovely stuff Fredrik. As I’ve already shared with you on Instagram, happy to see you exploring and loving this period. I remember how exciting it was for me when I first got into this scene. Soon you will have separate sections for these labels on your shelves if you aren’t careful. Particularly love the Byard Lancaster On vortex and New Africa. And all the strata-east of course. All the best on the journey.
Just subscribed. Most of those titles and labels are new to me, but I can see myself obtaining some of them in the future. Congratulations on the new turntable and welcome to the stereo world. Don Cherry’s work in blue note is some of my all time favorites. I have Liberty pressings of those, but I’m very interested in the Old and New Dreams titles. I am curious as to how they compare to the blue note titles. Thanks!
Welcome! Thanks, for most of my years as a collector I’ve been strictly focused on mono titles and have the Miyajima Zero true mono cartridge, so haven’t been able to play stereo records. I’ve also been focused on the 50’s and 60’s so haven’t had the need to have the stereo option. But as my tastes have evolved and the interest in the 70’s and 80’s have grown I had to get a second setup. Really enjoying my explorations. The New and Old Dreams stuff is great. Amazing musicians. And the ECM titles are of course much more affordable than the Cherry Blue Note stuff. Check them out. 👍🏻
Fredrick - thanks for the tour. Quick question - which Miyajima Zero did you get - .7 or 1.0? I have mostly OG mono jazz pressings - but also modern mono pressings. Also loved to see the Strata East titles (especially Glass Bead Games) - have you listened to Piano Choir Handscapes 1? Also Brass Company? I looove both. I am a subscriber.
Hi Jeffrey, First I had the Miyajima Kotetu mono, then I upgraded to the Zero 1mil, and then I switched to the 0.7mil. Very happy with it and for me it’s a must to play old mono records with a true mono cartridge, and the ones Miyajima makes are outstanding. Haven’t listened to the titles you mention, but will definitely do so. Thanks for the tips! Stay tuned…
@@fwrarejazzvinylcollectorI notice a lot of these vinyl collectors on RUclips purchased IKEA products for storing there records. Myself I don't trust there products so I build my own record room dividers from lumber wood I buy at Builders Emporium. I love the smell of wood in my vinyl room. Do you have a collection of cds you store? I'm always interested in how these collectors store there music in. Thanks for reading my comment and too each there own way how they storage there collections (from 976-CREOLEMAN).

Thanks man! I'm really enjoying the journey for sure. So much to discover. We'll see about the separate sections, but I wouldn't mind it! 😀

Nice setup. Who setup your Lenco, plinth and all, etc., please, sir? Is there a one stop Lenco refurbishing service? Thank you!
Hello! It was built by Veteran Hifi here in Stockholm.
@ Thank You, Sir!
@@dextergilford8336 No problem. 👍
Are those IKEA record shelves (from 976-CREOLEMAN)?
Yeah, Kallax shelves from IKEA.
