Wow great video! They finally finished the Port! I've been there a few times over the years and it has always been under construction. Looks nice i like the pool in your video and swim up bar. Will have to check that out! Awesome video will have to share with my friends and family cruising there soon.
Thank you so much for watching our video! We truly appreciate you 🤗 and they still had a whole other area still under construction. From what we saw it looked like a lazy river of some sorts. It's exciting to see the progress for sure! They're doing a really good job with what they added so far. We loved that the pool was free to use as well. You just had to buy a quick drink and you could pretty much hang out at port the entire day.
@tonyadeierlein9011, Yes they sure did!! The port is become a little beach/pool club getaway. It's going to get even nicer once they fully complete all their projects and I can't wait to see it!! Are you heading to Roatan soon? It's been way too long 2018!!

For us just pulling into port of Roatan and smelling that Green Mountain Air is magical! 🌄 It takes your breath away looking out to the landscape on the lido deck.
We just got back from Roatan and it was the best day in port the whole cruise. We had high seas and wind, lot of Humidity. We missed Costa Maya and Cozumel the wife wasn't feeling well so we just stayed on the ship. But the pool bar at the port was really nice and the Beach club we went too was the best time of our whole cruise. Besides drinking for 7 days lol
Roatan is definitely stepping it up! We can't wait to see the progress in the next few years!! I see y'all made great use of your drink package to the maximum lol 🤣 Are y'all planning another cruise to make up for those missed days ? I know I would!! Lol
My 1st ship was the breakaway 10 yrs ago and no other ship has compared i dont even remember the name of the other 2 from celebrity and royal lol.. thank you for this video im going there 4 my 1st time in march 25
@@reeced6724 you're in for a surprise!! It changed so much. You can actually hang out right at port now in the pool. They did an amazing job revamping the port area. Now I wish they would do the same right outside of port too! They have so much potential.
I really appreciate your video!! We will be visiting Roatan for the first time in October. We are considering venturing outside of the usual excursions/activities. I also appreciate your genuine opinions on the food. I have high hopes because we had really good local food in Belize!!
Hi LoriWhitlock! Thank you so very much for this comment, it made our week ☺️ So the 1st time we went to Roatan we booked Big french key and got rained out. We wanted to book it again because it was definitely a relaxing beach day but ended up just venturing out the port to see what's happening out there. Now the next time we go back to Roatan we will try venturing out to the west end area, it's more touristy but I saw this little restaurant called Calelu's that had some local food and it's right across the beach so maybe that's going to be a little better than the other place. When you get a minute look up the west end, it looks nice to walk around and grab a drink and some food. We love local food whenever we can find it!! We cant wait to try Belizean Local food!! The port itself still has a lot of construction happening but everyone was having a great in that huge pool.
Wow, we've been watching them construct this for several years...looks great, we have Roatan on our itin in Sept. on Icon, can't wait. Our daughter and family are on Mariner right now, left on Saturday,,,if you're doing this in real time, you are on her too!
Oh my gosh! Now we're jealous! We want to go on icon with you lol Roatan's Port is looking awesome so far, we can't wait to see all the other new things they will add to it in the next few years. Thank you so much for coming over to our video, we truly appreciate it ☺️
Hi Cindymarie140, Oh my goodness it's totally different now and I can only imagine how fun it's going to be once they are completely done ! So I did not Spot any chair lifts for the sandy areas but when we go back I'm definitely making it my priority to go find out. Roatan is one of our favorites! We used Victor Bodden Tours and William was amazing.
