Hey there! I've wanted to cover this song ever since I first heard it, which was like mid 2012, before I'd even watched Puella Magi Madoka Magica. I'm glad to say I'm very proud of how it turned out! PMMM's whole soundtrack is GORGEOUS, seriously. Yuki Kajiura did an amazing job on the entire thing.

being meguca is suffering
Wish for more time for thinking.
What is the cost for a wish? Is it worth the price?
Meduka Meguca
DO NOT THROW SOULS
Your goddamn right
The original song always gave me ghost-chorus vibes. The spirits of all those magical girls who died in battle, trying to tell another girl not to fall for the trap.
This version is their rage, their fury at Kyubey.
I love this interpretation :o
Is it bad that I would like to see the reality where Madoka becomes the god-witch, and this song is in the background as she produces the ultimate dispair of the universe?
Evil Madoka?
@@wobbledu kyubey said that Madoka Will become the best of Magical girl and The Worst witch to ever existed. able to destroy the earth in 10 days

If we ever get a sequel to rebellion, this needs to be played at the end.
If there were to be a Live Action Madoka movie, this would make the perfect end credits song.
I just realized Kajiura is so next level she made up a language for this song lol
Apparently it's a language she uses in a lot of her music! Pretty great
Ita based off gaelic actually
We call this "Kajiurago".
Literally, "language of Kajiura".
Mostly it's just strings of syllables that Kajiura finds sound appealing.
Not a language, and they have no meaning.
In regards to them being based off gaelic..... I find them quite closer to latin and italian, and being heavily influenced by opera.
Oh, this is amazing! I'm a big fan of Madoka Magica and Yuki Kajiura. What an awesome surprise!
Madoka!
Metal!
What is here not to love?
Hey, look! There's lyrics!
And a Kyubei!
*SIS PUELLA MAGICA* - "Be a Magical Girl"
I listened this video and i looked for it, I thought that it would have millions of views xD

Hmm. Certainly, this is from a fandom I'm not in, but I might check it (it's an anime, right...?) out because you'd recommend it (it seems). What other fandoms are you in, and what products (anime, manga, tv shows, visual novels, any device of entertainment value) would you recommend? Will you be making any songs for these fandoms? I remember you are in the Homestuck fandom, are you still with them?
***** Alright, I'll check out some of your recommendations! Thanks for telling me! Don't worry about writing too much, the time you spent making that list is appreciated.
This is an amazing cover. First cover of a Madoka song I've liked more than the original.
This is absolutely amazing, and by far my favorite remix of "Sis puella magica!". Why this only has a few thousand views is beyond me - it easily deserves far, far more.
I am curious, though. What software and instruments/music libraries/VST's did you use for this arrangement? They all sound extremely high quality, and I especially like the organ (Is it an organ?) that plays the main melody. Asking this because I wanted to try my hand at composing/arranging myself.
Looking forward to more awesome content by you!
+SiberysMusic Thank you so much! :) I'm actually quite happy with it getting three thousand views in just a few months.
I mostly used VSTs from EastWest's libraries. The guitars and bass are from Ministry of Rock 2, the orchestral instruments are from Symphonic Orchestra Platinum. The percussion is a mix of Ministry of Rock 2 (the kit), Symphonic Orchestra and Stormdrum 2. I used some flutes from Silk (like the Duduk, which is one of my favourite patches ever) and one from Forest Kingdom, which might be what you're referring to as an organ. I can't remember whether the piano was from EastWest's Pianos Gold or Native Instruments' The Giant.
My advice is, regardless of the quality of VSTs you have access to, learn to start using EQing and effects to make things sit better in the mix as early as you can. It seriously boosts the quality of the final product :)
+Rachel Rose Mitchell Woah, that was a fast reply! Thank you very much for telling me about those libraries! Never would have guessed it was a flute, instead of an organ! I guess I better start saving up some cash... and a computer that can actually run these, and others.
What's the software you use, though? Do you use Fruity Loops, Cubase, GarageBand, or something else? Would like to make sure I pick a compatible software, as some libraries don't work with some software (As an example, I think 8dio's libraries only work with the Kontakt software).
EQ and other audio effects are something I'm still learning. Would it be doable to export an instrument from a software into Adobe Audition, to do the effects there?
+SiberysMusic No worries, I love to help out!
Cubase all the way. I started out with FruityLoops but I'm not sure I'd recommend doing that. There are many other software suites you could use (Logic is the go-to if you're using a Mac, though I don't personally care for it) but as long as they have VST support as most you, you'll be golden. A note on 8dio's libraries and others that require Kontakt - Kontakt is usable within the DAW (digital audio workstation) environment. Its player is used as a VST itself. I used a couple of Kontakt libraries in this track, actually. You don't really need to worry about that. Get yourself a copy of Kontakt and you'll be able to use it within whatever DAW you choose.
I wouldn't recommend that. It's similar to what I used to do - exporting all tracks individually as wavs from FruityLoops and then effecting them in Cubase. To be honest it was overly convoluted and less controllable. Learn to use effects within the environment you're creating the track in :) In other words, learn from my mistake haha. It can be intimidating at first but it's so worth it.
+Rachel Rose Mitchell Ah, okay. I'll not use Audition, then.
Does Cubase come with some instruments already bundled with it, like Fruity Loops does? If not, what are some libraries/samples that you'd suggest for starting out? Do I also need to purchase Kontakt 5 to use the Kontakt libraries, or is the free Kontakt Player compatible? Seen conflicting information on that.
Good decision :P
It definitely does, though if you get the cheaper versions (ie Cubase Studio or Cubase Artist vs Cubase) you'll be missing some features. You can find comparisons on Steinberg's website to the best of my knowledge. You can get the cheapest version and easily upgrade later though.
The ones it comes with are quite usable in my opinion, especially for someone just starting out. In fact, the piano in Lost Again and the robot voice in Indigo Archer are both from Cubase's default instruments.
I couldn't get the Kontakt player working properly myself until I purchased libraries for it, but I believe I just grabbed the Kontakt Elements set or whatever it's called. As an added bonus, once you own that you'll be able to crossgrade to sets like Komplete much more affordably (I ended up getting Komplete Ultimate 9 for about a third of the price because of this).
It may also be worth considering EWQL's subscriber model they have now. I believe it's about ten bucks a month for access to nearly all of their libraries. Don't jump straight into it before you've gotten your head around sequencing with Cubase (learn one thing at a time) but it might be a good alternative to buying the libraries outright. If you do buy their libraries, ONLY buy in bundles and on sale.
OMG!! PUELLA
When the guitar kicked in, it was beauty
Thanks to this I am about to rewatch the entire anime for like, the third time 😂
Hard to get the words in timing when singing, have to remember to say all the written vowels.
In less than a month, KHUX finally ends. All the tragedy that has transpired in Daybreak Town, the child-soldier keyblade wielders, the death, the Darklings, the Keyblade War, and Strelitzia, and the fall. A friend introduced me to Madoka Magica, and I can't help but notice the parallels.
Aku sudah pernah nonton animenya. Anime itu bikin aku ingat, setiap kali aku merasa Palestina tdk membutuhkanku. Sampai hatiku tdk perlu harus berjuang bersama mereka. Karena Hamas sudah sangat hebat. Aku pun jadi jatuh sakit.
Rasa sakitku pun, perlahan hilang.
Semoga kamu paham. Yg namanya ilmu itu seperti puzzle, maka harus pandai main cocoklogi untuk menyusunnnya.
Yg namanya perjuangan pasti disertai pengorbanan.
The angsty version of the song 0u0

What is this song at the very end, if you know, please tell me ( I'm writing through Google translator because I don't know English, so if something is wrong, Please excuse me)
It’s one of her other songs, ‘Hey Alice’. It’s inspired by Alice and Wonderland.

Hey Alice, also by me, from Light Shows and Shadow Puppets :) It's on my channel, or you can get it here: rachelrosemitchell.bandcamp.com
I want to like it but I just can't.
Something about the harmonics is just off, there is no cohesion between the bass and the melody and the whole thing just sounds like two separate pieces of music being slapped together.
The main thing that's lacking is a more energetic melody part. It's supposed to be bloody symphonic metal, so the melody needs to carry the vocals. Having a more dynamic and fleshed out keyboard would help this piece a lot.
Agreed
The song is too beautiful. Yes, I too noticed it lacks "metalness" (I'm not fan of the genre, but was searching for something "metal" for my friend who likes it a lot). I would also have prefered a more soprano voice.
It's like, not bad I guess.
