Taylor is absolutely amazing as david koresh in this series. You don't even think of him when he is playing this guy. You know he has done his homework when it comes to the mannerisms and psychology of koresh. My favorite show of 2018 thus far.
Christrulesall2 Totally agree... He was definitely fully immersed in that chracter. I hope he finally gets the credit and respect as a actor that he deserves. Have you seen him play Mike Murphy in Lone Survivor? Another brilliant performance!
Christrulesall2. I agree completely. I've seen a video about this raid on RUclips That shows a lot of new, or unknown evidence on the massacre.... If you watch it you might be surprised at who was the real instigator of the sadness and pain.
Watched the waco series last night for the first time was amazing i knew he looked really familiar , i know him from the movie Lone survivor with mark wahlberg but taylor is alot skinnier in this
Jill Niemczynski - and I think Taylor Kitsch has the kind of deep empathy and emotional intelligence to bring all the necessary layers to these kinds of roles. He is one of the finest out there right now.
Taylor Kitsch is a phenomenal actor, not to mention fine as hell. LMAO! I love the way he talks in Waco, with such a calming voice. The transformation to DK was amazing. He carried it so well. He seems really down to earth and that's refreshing to see. I wish him the best. Beth
I really appreciate Seth in this interview, he let the interview to flow naturally. He didn't forcefully inject cheap comedy into the talk. I like being able to hear the guess talking a full sentence without getting interrupted by some snarky comment that's dryly funny.
He’s so good at playing the role, that I had to double-check to make sure he’s the same guy. He looks more like archival footage of David Koresh than he does...himself.
Taylor Kitsch is a GROSSLY underrated actor. Such a crying shame how Hollywood passed him up because of John Carter, which by the way wasn’t a terrible movie.
Blaming what happened to his career on a single movie like John Carter is too simplistic. I don't even think that movie bombing was laid at his feet as much as it was blamed on the studio and Director Andrew Stanton. I think Kitsch's career issues came from following that up with the train wreck that was Battleship and then the universally disappointing 2nd installment of True Detective. Hollywood brass quickly concluded that he was never going to become an A lister who could carry a tent pole film to success. Not to mention all anyone has cared about over the past decade has been the Marvel Universe and he never made it into that club. It also seems like he became fustrated to the point that he took a step back from the BS of Hollywood much like Josh Hartnett did but not anywhere as long of a sabbatical but even a small amount of time off the radar can be devastating to a Hollywood career. Keep in mind his hair line is very much receding and he is much older than he was when he began Friday Night Lights. Age as well as diminishing beauty doesn't hurt male actors as much as it does women but it's still going to have its affects on his career, especially if the studios don't see him as leading actor material with leading actor looks.
It's always so nice to see actors who don't mind indulging us in talking about their hit shows. For the fans who still watch it all the time, we always wanna know more haha
He did an excellent job. All the actors did. I was 18 when it happened I remember listening in on the news every day during the siege. I saw the series on Netflix three times already because it was so incredibly well done. Bravo to ALL the actors. For anyone who really wants to know more as to what had happened during that time I strongly recommend watching that series on Netflix.

I was 2 years old when Waco happened I heard about it growing up but now that I'm in my mid 20's and studying Waco I realize it goes way deeper then I thought. It was bullshit what happened there so damn sad
Taylor Kitsch was utterly charming in this. I know many love him from FNL but I thought he was great in in American Assassin, the movie based on the Mitch Rapp series by Vince Flynn. Sad, I don't think he'll be in any sequels.
the wolfy gamer 115 Seth definitely didn't say he was a failed musician because he didn't get on MTV. And I'm pretty sure David Koresh wouldn't consider himself a successful musician either.

Love this guy. He's always so great to his fans, and will always stop for a selfie. He's always so smart, warm and funny, with that typically Canadian bone dry sense of humour, and so knowledgeable about his work. He also does a lot for charity, such as the Ugandan based African Children's Choir, and WildAid, which educates local farmers on prevention of poaching. Taylor is so much more than just a pretty face.
AMAZING TAYLOR.....AMAZING.... I just watched this being on lockdown here and watching EVERYTHING on Netflix .... I am STUNNED by this story.... I remember seeing it on the news back then but it went on for so long I think people kinda lost interest in the story until the end and there were so many lies and coverups of course the public rarely knows the truth.... BRAVO
I was more than a little disturbed with how they chose to portray Koresh’s character on the show. After extensive research from multiple testimonies from law enforcement and ex-members of his group, I have verified that he was in fact a psychologically abusive, controlling, and manipulative person, and charming and charismatic, as most cult leaders are. While I appreciate the show creators taking a more sympathetic view of Koresh, it would have also helped viewers be saved from the confusion of “being lied to about Waco” to show that Koresh did in fact hit other people-even spanking grown men. That he was not the founder of the Davidians, and that he was arrested and acquitted for getting into a shootout before with the rival members of his cult before ascending to power and declaring himself the messiah. Koresh is not “misunderstood”. He’s not an “anti-hero”. He was a dangerous cult leader, and possibly a knowing con man, perhaps not crazy but also not to be trusted by any measure. The ATF and FBI were correct in likening the situation to Jonestown, and their concerns were valid, despite whatever mistakes were made.
Taylor Kitsch was fantastic on this show. The main roles I knew him from before this were as Hopper in Battleship and the title character in John Carter, he was good in both of those but on another level in this
I remember my parents being so tuned in to this developing story. It was almost like, the world came to a screeching holt and we couldn’t take our eyes off of what was going on. I was born and raised in Texas (still live about an hour and half away from Waco, in Fort Worth) It was the most insane thing to see on public access television. Now that I am a lot older and I get to see and hear testimonies about different people’s experiences... There are no words to describe my feelings about this.
So crazy and incredibly sad that NONE of the children survived. Hard to know what to believe about the whole ordeal but regardless the way it was handled is heartbreaking.

I know the show was criticized because it showed him in a more sympathetic light, I disagree with that because I think it showed him at his absolute most manipulative worst and we just interpreted it as sympathy for the character. If you pay attention it shows how he was able to sink his teeth into these people so well, and during times of peace he's not just able to keep them but also to attract more as well.
