On their most recent tours they even go a step further after the bigger flamethrower. They now roll a flamethrowing cannon on stage to up the anti even more. Lately i've seen them live in 2022, 2023 and again next june. This show has the most fire and explosions that i've ever seen them use. I wonder if they'll come up with anything new and outragious for 2024. 🔥🤘

went to a concert years ago when they first performed it in the Netherlands. So we were 'somewhat' surprised lol. Flake wore a full gimpsuit, with fireworks on the outside tht went off at the end, hopping across the stage. Absolutely hilarious and spectacular 😂
I know that Till's Dad was a novelist that wrote children's book's in Germany and was wanting TILL to follow in his footsteps's but I believe he put's so much into his lyrics.... Every RAMMSTEIN video is 🔥...❤❤

"Mein Teil" translates to "My part" but is also used in slang for "my penis".
When you read the background story it will be clear about the real cannibal case in Germany, then you will see that both meanings are correct here. (they are eating his part of the body, and it's his part of the meal)
Also "Du bist, was du isst - You are what you eat" - a slogan used to promote the healthy eating becomes an interesting second meaning when talking about cannibalism...

I like both: their Videos are like short movies with big quality, but their live performances are also great, even for same songs. Their live performances are so well designed, they really know how to set up a show and entertain.

Hi and thank you for the awesome reaction. I'm German and hope I can help to understand the title. "Teil" usually means something like "part". However there is another (more or less infirmal) meaning. From my point of view it can be compared to the English word "tool". So you know what is meant if so. says "wow, he has a big Teil". "Part" as translation doesnt make any sense

"Mein Teil" (German for "My part" or "My share", slang for "My penis") is a song by German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein. It was released as the lead single from their fourth studio album, Reise, Reise (2004), on 26 July 2004. "Mein Teil" attracted controversy in Germany; the media dubbed it "Das Kannibalenlied" ("The Cannibal-Song") due to its lyrics referring to the Armin Meiwes cannibalism case.
The song is inspired by the case of Armin Meiwes and Bernd Jürgen Armando Brandes. In March 2001, in Rotenburg an der Fulda, the two men aged in their 40s met each other, cut off and cooked Brandes' penis and attempted to consume it together. Afterwards, Meiwes killed Brandes in a twisted act akin to killing a wounded animal. He then stored and ate his remains over the next 10 months until he was caught. As a result, Meiwes was sentenced to eight-and-a-half years in jail for manslaughter, but was later charged with murder and sentenced to life imprisonment. According to bassist Oliver "Ollie" Riedel, the song came about after "one of our members brought a newspaper to rehearsal and it had a story about the cannibal guy in it. We were fascinated, shocked and amused at the same time".
"Mein Teil" means 'my part, my share'. But it's also slang for 'my 🍆'. After reading the backstory, you'll know why it's meant in this context. 😅.

I was able to meet Armin Meiwes in Prison, in 2012...if you don't know why he's in, he's just a "normal" Inmate! He still works in the Prison Church today!
That is so bizarre! Like Alex in A Clockwork Orange, I suppose.
The first lines you read what the "advert" Armin Miewes wrote on the webside "The Cannibal Cafe". Being left by the father Armin grow up with his mother. The other kids were given away by adoption cause the mother couldn't afford them all.
Long story short: Armin, feeling lonely all childhood, developed a thought about making friends to someone and eat him. That way he would never feel alone but have his friend with him all the time.
A Berlin engineer reacted to the advert. They wrote together for half a year making friends that way. The engineer himself had a bit of cannibalism in him - hence they agreed that the first thing to eat should be his penis - and they should share it , so they both could taste human flesh ("Mein Teil" is both "my part" but also addresses "My penis")
The day came. The engineer was picked up at the train station. They both were exited and started having sex upstairs.. After theat the engineer had quite a few pain killers.
The idea was that Armin should bite of the penis but it turned out he couldn't. Simply too much "rubber like". He did however manage to crush both balls trying. He then caught a knife - turned out it wasn't sharp enough either so had to fetch another, and finally it came off.
Still it couldn't be eaten directly, so the engineer had band aid on and were helped down to the kitchen where Armin would fry it with salt and pepper. He had to help the engineer during the process to it ended out the penis was too burned and black (in one of the places they gave it to the dog).
The engineer got colder and Armin prepared a tub for him. He came in, the band aid came off and he could watch his own blood boiling out from the wound.
He finally had his throat slit, and Armin brought him to the room next door, where he parted the engineer and put the parts in plastic bags for the freezer- to eat one by one with wine , potatoes at candlelight.
They agreed to record the whole happening (that's why the whole story is so well known). The idea was that when they were together as one flesh (inside Armin), they could sit down and watch the whole thing together.
It took most of a year to eat the engineer. At that point Armin advertised again. Someone found it strange though and contacted the police who visited the farm where Armin lived. They did find 2 left over packages in the freezer , the cranium in the yard and the DVD. Armin were sentenced and put to jail - from start a rather mild sentence because the other guy volunteered. Later it has been prolonged and I guess he will never be released.

I must tell you, my friend. I am grateful that I had not started breakfast and now, for some reason, I am not hungry. In fact, I may have images in my head for a long time. Initially, when I watched this I had no backstory. In the comments someone else mentioned it and I immediately looked it up and read about the events. I admit I stopped reading once I got to the part about them sitting down to eat the victim's penis. Maybe it's because I own one myself but anything that relates to inflicting harm to that area makes me wince and my skin curl in empathy.

Of course! No respectable Metalhead would not know of Gwar!! But actually, apples and oranges. Gwar members are playing characters and their songs are meant to be lewd and disgusting and just plain old fun. Rammstein's songs usually carry a message (at least the first two I watched before this one) they just present it in an entertaining way. The first song I did, Angst, was about fear mongering in the media and the second, Zick Zack was a satire of people's obsession with plastic surgery, Botox and the lengths people will go to to 'improve' themselves. Gwar would never go into any of those topics. Way too deep. The blood you see on Till, the singer and the pyrotechnics are nothing compared to Gwar. Gwar have been known to eviscerate a character on stage pulling the 'guts' out and the crowd getting squirted with all kinds of nasty fluids. Ick!

The story is inspired by a true crime that has happend in Germany. A man searched for someone to be slaughtered and eaten. And he found a voluntary victim ... a bizare crime was the result ... The lyrics of Rammstein's song are written from the perspective of the voluntary victim while Till Lindemann (the singer) acts as the cannibal in the show.
