#15 - Preparing for Winter at Our Small Farm in Central Portugal

Winter has arrived which means the fire's burning morning and night! Thankfully, Michael spent an entire week chopping up the rotten floorboards, ceilings, and other wood so we've got enough wood to keep us warm this winter (and many winters beyond)! We're also making the most of the glorious sun we've been having with a good gardening session or two!
And Michael has a surprise for all of the health and safety enthusiasts!

Just found your channel. Where abouts in Portugal are you? We were in Central Portugal, looking at areas we fancy moving over too, not South of Castelo Branco, more North. We loved it. Are you from Yorkshire? We are.

Great progress, keep up the work and some day you will have rooms complete and usable.
A few things:
1. You might as well use the "ear defenders" when using the ground trimmer. It makes noise too.
2. Consider getting a face shield for use with the ground trimmer. This will protect your face, in addition to your eyes. And if not, consider just wearing sunglasses. Not perfect for eye protection, but better than nothing.
3. A stand for your plastic bags should be easy enough to construct out of old timber. Will make tossing things in easier.
